BI Director James Comey said he let cameras into the New York FBI offices to film a new television series in hopes that he might build trust with the American people.
I worry sometimes that people dont know us, Comey said in explaining why he green-lighted Inside the FBI: New York, a new television documentary by Dick Wolf of Law & Order fame and documentarian Marc Levin.
We have to care what people think of us, Comey said at a showing of the new series at the Newseum in Washington, DC. The faith and confidence of the American people is the bedrock, he said.
We did a lot last year that confused people, Comey admitted, speaking of the presidential election.

Somebody needs to tell him that Efrem Zimbalist, Jr. is dead.
OK, just don’t call it “F Troop”. Could get Storched!
Comey has got to go. What is Sessions doing????
WTH? Seems wasteful, just focus on the job!
I saw commercial for it during the hockey last night. Looks amazingly boring.
Are the videographers trolling the directory of Anthony Weiner’s laptop?
Tell Comey he should have had a camera in the meeting between him and Loretta where they agreed that in the case of the investigation of Hillary Clinton, there would be no grand jury, no search and seizure warrants, immunity would be handed out for free and her aides who participated in using the server and destroying evidence would be entitled to claim the status of her attorneys and sit in on meetings and interviews about the investigation.
I liked the X-Files.
Instead of “Book ‘em Dano!”, I expect their catch phrase will be “We have intent!”. Dramatic!

I’ve always enjoyed the gritty nature of Law & Order, and its spin-offs. But here’s a spoiler: If a suspect is wearing a crucifix, that suspect will turn out to be guilty. And if a suspect is a conservative, that suspect will turn out to be guilty.
And if a suspect is a crucifix-wearing conservative, warm up Ol’ Sparky.
I wonder if this new series will be any different.
Confused? No -- alienated and broke their trust, yes.
What Comey doesn't realize is that for a large portion of people the FBI is now like the NSA: a rogue agency that we cannot trust. (Don't worry, the CIA's joining that group with its "Vault 7" crap.) — What else do you expect when an organization leaves its purpose for political expedience? (That's exactly how to lose a reputation for integrity.)
But rather than have shows like "Madame Secretary" or "The New FBI" (or whatever they're gonna call it) perhaps we should have "Attorney General"...a show in which the titled character makes frequent trip to Phoenix to talk about grandchildren with former Presidents.
I thought they had already started filming such a series. - “Blindspot” on NBC.
MY BOTTOM LINE is that I want that bastard fired, period.
film a new television series in hopes that he might build trust with the American people.
= = =
It will be FICTION, right???
How long before we hear about evidence going missing from that office? Convenient cover for even more FBI shenanigans.
Who will watch a TV show where everybody is a bad guy?
Is an IRS show coming out next?
