US gov’t and other sources say #DPRK has apparently placed a nuclear device in a tunnel and it could be detonated Saturday AM #Korea time.

“We have no comment at this time but we will be watching closely,” an NSC official tells @VOANews.

That’s ok, as long as Kim Jung Un is standing next to it when it detonates.

Well just book Kimmie on the next United Airlines flight. The security will know what to do.

My guess — Kim Jong-un is going to have the opportunity to look over his shoulder to see who is going to remove him from power first.
• Internal coup inside North Korea
• Chinese invasion and removal
• U.S. special forces attack

Nobody wants this guy around any more, not even military in his own country, nor soon-to-be ex-Ally China, U.S.A., South Korea, UN, etc.

How reliable have you found VOA to be in reporting current events? Reliable? Biased one way or another?

I’m betting that if they go ahead with the test, the hammer falls.

Jumping up and down is not what you want to be doing when you’re treading on thin ice.

Name the last wartime President who failed to get re-elected.

He assembled a War Cabinet, and war is what will happen.

Speaking as one who has four family members and several colleagues’ families living in South Korea, I am doing my best to keep this news in perspective. It is hard, especially with all this disinformation floating about.

Please elucidate. Does “tongil” stand for a movement of unification of North and South Korea?

DPRK:
The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, a genuine workers’ state in which all the people are completely liberated from exploitation and oppression.

Wow, sounds like paradise!

What a choice, move to N Korea or Cuba...

“in a tunnel.” Such as one of the many that North Korea has bored into and/or under its border with South Korea. Or into a deep well for underground testing, such as we did in Nevada in the 50s and 60s when we stopped above ground testing. There is, to me, a “slight” difference in the actual meaning of ‘tunnel.’

Are our seismic detectors sensitive enough to distinguish between a small underground nuclear explosion and large underground conventional explosion? It seems like 10-20,000 tons of TNT would make quite a rumble.
