recently declared a clash between “the cross and the crescent”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It is inevitable. It is coming.
The sooner we face up to it and stop the denial, the better off we will be.
I drove through the entire length of Turkey twice during the 1970’s and I was surprised to hear how many there spoke German.
I support restoration of the Sunni caliphate.
The missile boats in the Arabian Gulf need a target with fixed GPS coordinates.
“Erdogan, a dangerous combination of ruthless and off-the-hinges, recently declared a clash between “the cross and the crescent””
The left defeated the cross in Europe a long time ago. The war is now between the left and the crescent.
Regardless of Turkey’s membership in NATO, it is more significant for the US to remember that it is, first and foremost, a Muslim nation. Turkey views its NATO membership as being a member of a Christian organization. It can be expected that they will turn against NATO countries when the chips are down. They should not be trusted by the WEST.
>>Make the Kurds, not Erdogan, your major Middle East ally<<
.
Definitely.
In two world wars, Turkey sided against Western Europe and they will do it again, for sure.
Erdogan has transformed Turkey into an Islamic State from a secular one.
Europe should not give one more thought to allowing Turkey into the EU. But, of course, they most likely will allow them in.
Insanity....if you have people voting for the caliph who all believe in ISIS style rule.....
The caliphate is a bad idea in general. There is no benefit to one over the other. Sunni, Shite, Salafi....all are killers and dangerous
The greatest mistake Europe has made is inviting the Turks into their countries.
Hopefully America will learn from this horrible mistake.
Why is the caliphate a bad idea?
The sultanate/caliphate governed the Arab tribes for 900 years. They had no restraint on their methods, and the Arab tribes caused no disturbance to the outside world.
I think it’s a terrific idea.
The Caliphate destroyed the Byzantine Empire.
The Caliphate conquered Spain.
The Caliphate invaded France.
The Caliphate besieged Vienna — twice.
A vast empire dedicated to imposing Sharia Law on the world? I’m gonna say “no thanks”.
