Two Pittsburgh men will spend up to one year in jail for assaulting police officers during an anti-Donald Trump protest in Downtown Pittsburgh last year , according to District Attorney Stephen A. Zappala Jr.'s Office.
Kennon Hooper, 32, of West Oakland, and Maxwell Yearick, 30, of Perry South, were each sentenced to three to 12 months in jail for their part in the April 13 protests that injured several officers.
Both men pleaded guilty to one count each of simple assault and resisting arrest.

Its good news as far as it goes, but I didn’t hear about any restitution to the city taxpayers- a couple of the police officers were injured and took months off on workmen’s comp due to the riots.
These are young people, they have time in their lives to relieve the taxpayers of this burden.
I guess there were only 2 of them the whole time then.
About time these tender loins get what’s coming to them.
And it also high time someone has the police’s back. Maybe we can have some semblance of civility now.

Hooper pepper sprayed the cop and kicked him several times. Only 3 months for that. Hopefully the prison guards will teach him some manners.
No doubt the Communist leaders of the protest can be found sipping coffee at The Big Idea Bookstore while planning their next radical event.
