I live in (suburb of) The City of EVIL and water conservation comes up from time to time. The looney libs would try to conserve sand in the desert.

We sit on a pure fresh water lake 40 miles long and up to 400 feet deep. The water plant that gets it’s water from the lake can provide water to the entire county.

The City of EVIL, I mean the city of Ithaca, doesn’t even get it’s water from the lake. It comes from streams (around here they call them creeks) into a reservoir.

This year was the first time that I recall there being a shortage of city water. It didn’t run out, it just became dirty/cloudy. So what? There is always the lake. Just open a few valves and voila... water.

I would like to point out that ALL the water ever created on earth is STILL HERE! With 2 exceptions,

1. Whatever water astronauts took into space to make “Tang” etc.
2. When God “separated the waters”

Genesis 1:7 King James Version (KJV)
7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.

And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. Genesis 1:6.
And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament Genesis 1:14 (stars/planets)

Firmament/expanse is the heavens/sky

Divided them between heaven and earth.

Water on Mars? Sure, God put it there when he made the universe about 6000 years ago.

Deport the water using illegals. Problem solved. Actually lots of problems solved. Less traffic, less pollution, lower housing costs, lower medical costs, no need to build more schools so lower taxes, less welfare, less crime and the list goes on.

Lived in CA since 1981, can’t stand Gov.Clown. It speaks to the brain dead qualities of my average fellow Californian that he was brought back into office. That being said, it is extremely easy to reduce water use by 10%, and in a state that depends on irrigation, common sense (not too common, I get that).

MAKE NO MISTAKE: Water control = power. My pal works for the water district. When the drought first became an issue, a few years ago, they made pleas for 20% reduction in usage. The first month results showed a 27% drop, and the district honchos were FREAKING out, due to the loss of revenue. They changed the rates, and now charge for water that goes down the drain - I am not kidding.
