A rally Wednesday afternoon resulted in a disrupted workplace and gridlocked traffic as student protesters marched to demand more diversity at the Indiana University-Bloomington campus.

The rally and march was organized by the student group Students Against State Violence (SASV) in support of a Resolution on Diversity that was passed last April by the Faculty Council, because according to the SASV, the university “has been delaying and opposing its implementation.”

If the university and police were serious about stopping this nonsense (I know, I know . . . .), they would throw these “activists” in jail for 30 days, or at least overnight. It will scare the middle class girls and boys who liked playing at being radical liberal activists to death and they’ll stop. Then the hardcore ones can face progressively longer jail sentences if they repeat their disruptions. The longer the police treat traffic disruption as a game, the more likely it is that people will get killed.

College: Well, your protest has made us analyze our diversity. We actually found out we have too much. So...we’re cutting it in half. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

So why are they even in college? Surely not to be more qualified to make more money in a capitalistic system.

Capitalism - Oingo Boingo

There’s nothing wrong with Capitalism
There’s nothing wrong with free enterprise
Don’t try to make me feel guilty
I’m so tired of hearing you cry

There’s nothing wrong with making some profit
If you ask me I’ll say it’s just fine
There’s nothing wrong with wanting to live nice
I’m so tired of hearing you whine
About the revolution
Bringin’ down the rich
When was the last time you dug a ditch, baby!

If it ain’t one thing
Then it’s the other
Any cause that crosses your path
Your heart bleeds for anyone’s brother
I’ve got to tell you you’re a pain in the ass

You criticize with plenty of vigor
You rationalize everything that you do
With catchy phrases and heavy quotations
And everybody is crazy but you

You’re just a middle class, socialist brat
From a suburban family and you never really had to work
And you tell me that we’ve got to get back
To the struggling masses (whoever they are)
You talk, talk, talk about suffering and pain
Your mouth is bigger than your entire brain
What the hell do you know about suffering and pain . . .

There’s nothing wrong with Capitalism
There’s nothing wrong with Capitalism
There’s nothing wrong with Capitalism
There’s nothing wrong with Capitalism

Reserving half of the seats in each incoming class for students who have actually worked for a living would add some much needed diversity to the Bloomington campus.

“It is in the schools, at the desk, in the first class, that the foundations for a Communist outlook are laid in future Soviet citizens. The country entrusts the school with its most treasured possessions — its children — and no one should be allowed to indulge in the slightest deviation from the principles of the Communist materialistic upbringing of the new generation.”

— Literaturnaya Gazeta, 09/03/1949
And the fruit of those noisome seeds now is spread abroad, thanks to the ideological brethren getting their hooks into government (which subsequently took over education) here.

as student protesters marched to demand more diversity at the Indiana University-Bloomington campus.

My eldest daughter graduated from this school. It has a fine Music program. I remember dropping her off, and visiting her on campus and I felt good about leaving her there, because it seemed so safe. These young people have no idea what they are asking -- it is to have a lovely campus ruined by the false doctrine of the need for "diversity".

My other daughter went to university in our state, at Washington State University. This uni is located in the middle of "cow country". Not being negative about rural America; just, a description of a college that was founded to help rural students in the State get a college education locally and also with classes in agriculture, organic farming, and a very good vet school. A good school, or, it was until they changed leadership, brought in a black administrator, who actually said he walked around campus and couldn't believe how many white people there were. He changed that.

The number of rapes on campus increased. My daughter had a friend whom she had gone to school with since 1st grade, and he was beaten so badly that he ended up spending time in a hospital.

You can take your diversity and you know what you can do with it. It creates nothing but problems; but, if you point that out, you get called very nasty names.

social justice protesters have gotten away with disruptions for so long they appear to believe to be immune from arrests. This needs to be firmly addressed and rectified. Immediate arrest, conviction, and incarceration for no less than ten years would effectively end frivolous protests.
