Good points.

But the Trump Movement on a scale of 8 or 9 to 1 in turmoil over this foray into Syria. If you look at the list of tasks that Kushner is charged with, you will see he’s overseeing things like Syria policy.

And Kushner is a strong supporter of Israel which is GOOD. But Israel has a faction that Obama organized and funded along with Soros to try and bring down Netanyahu. So whose side is Kushner on?

The point is we need to take a hard look at Kushner now and he needs to prove himself to us.

Asked about a two-state solution, Trump said: “I am looking at two-state, and one-state, and I like the one that both parties like.” That must be what negotiators call latitude.

If he'd droned on in deliberately opaque diplomacy-speak, this author would no doubt have been reassured and maybe, just maybe, would have approved. As it stands, author equates plainspokenness with lack of intelligence, and so the snark ensues.

I don't know what sort of circles these people have been moving in, but in mine a person who is capable of distilling complexity down to layman's terms is the intelligent one, not the multisyllabic, nickel-word prattler.

But, I move in private sector circles. Maybe bureaucratic types love complexity for complexity's sake and are bereft without it.

LV Sun on a liberal scale of 1 to 10 with 1 as ultra liberal and 10 as ultra conservative is a 5.

E Robinson is not a hardcore liberal. He’s more of a moderate. He writes good information here and fairly objectively.

Jared is fine. He’s a smart guy and it appears he is a good guy, but someone has to help him with his wardrobe when in a war zone.

A good way to solve “refugee” crisis is to remove need for people to leave.

I reserve judgment on JK.

Trump likes conflict (like Lincoln) among subordinates and, like Lincoln, is proud of his unwillingness to take their advice all the time.

Let this marinate a while. Stiries ALL fed by neverTrumpers or ppl inside wanting more power.

True, but it’s also attitude. I’ve dined w Hollywood stars, been w Bush in Oval Office. But these people don’t impress me because of jobs or titles, but who they are. Some (many) people are born snobs.

The President was elected in large part by outlets such as Breitbart when Bannon led them.

Scuttlebutt says Bannon objected to this foray into Syria.

Other western sources on the ground say this was a false flag. They say McMaster guaranteed to the President the intelligence was authentic when it wasn’t. There is a lack of confidence in the intel products coming from people that are in the sphere of the Deep State.

See here for a competing argument on the Syria incident (perhaps false flag):

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/3541999/posts?page=73#73

Whether this competing argument is valid OR NOT, the fact is that the Trump movement is in turmoil and there need to be people called on the carpet to reestablish the bonds that Donald Trump worked so hard to form including his life at risk to establish.

Regardless of whether I, personally comment on FR or post threads to FR on this subject, the fact is that social media has erupted against the President on this and to address this disturbance and quell it, Tillerson needs to get out there and make the case for it. Also, Kushner needs to get out of his bubble and out in public where we can to know just who he is, just like Don Jr. who we love.

Trump supporting outlets are even more against this Syria foray. It’s not a house divided thing here.

FDR had his Harry Hopkins and Eleanor but the breath of the portfolio handed to this 36-year-old is breathtaking and beyond the powers of one man to master.

If he is to be only eyes and ears for a specific conference in Iraq, that is one thing but if he is to be empowered to make policy or even just to brief the president on the true state of affairs in one of the most complex theaters, he is in over his head.

Multiply by the number of these open-ended assignments into the most complicated and intractable conundrums that face the country, and we do not have a problem solver, we have a bottleneck. Worse, we may have a loose cannon operating out of lines of authority whether that be the military, the diplomacy, politics or whatever today's action brings every morning.

Such a loose cannon is incompatible with orderly administration of government. It generates jealousy and it encourages backstreet overtures to the president. It is devastating to morale. It smacks of, no it is literally, nepotism of the rankest sort. It will ultimately generate chaos.

This does not drain the swamp, it simply creates a new maze.

Which brother was that?

He wasn’t elected to be king, passing his reign down to his spawn and spawn-in-law.

He was elected on a platform and by a voter base that he has seriously betrayed in the early going.

Let’s hope he gets himself and thus our country back on track soon.

I still have confidence in our President. But this foray into Syria needs discussion and I am praying our President can settle everyone down because right now, people in the Trump Movement are in turmoil.

Here’s an example of a script that could have been written to go a long way to maintaining the trust that Donald Trump worked so hard to establish with his supporters:

I don’t give any credence to anything written by Gene Robinson, whatever I think of Kushner.

Jared Goes To Iraq! A Picture Story

“Now all he has to do is go home, push one of his father-in-law’s other helpers out of the National Security Council, address the use of chemical weapons by the Iran and Russia-supported Syrian Assad regime, take care of ISIS and al Qaeda, run the new Office of American Innovation, broker peace in the Middle East, run all of the United States’ diplomatic relations with Canada, China, and Mexico, reform America’s criminal justice system, and solve the country’s opioid crisis, with help from the man who sent his dad to jail.”
