It’s just a matter of convenience for the democrats. Yes, Russia is, most likely, always trying to influence elections. So the DNC is just trying to use that fact as leverage to undermine President Trump. They know there’s nothing to him having anything to do with it but the facts don’t matter in politics.
The Russians calculate everything. They benefited greatly from the feckless foreign policy and weakness of the Obama administration and Hillary was a key part of that.
Trump promised to rebuild our economy, rebuild our military, and rebuild the respect we are accorded throughout the world.
Can anyone explain to me why Russia would support Trump (strong) over Hillary (weak)?
The premise makes no sense if you understand the desires of Russia. I understand that Putin did not like Hillary, but is Putin stronger today with Trump in the White House? No.

I did not talk about any actions taken by Russians, on purpose.
But, it would clearly be foolish for them to ‘want’ a hilliary administration in control in the USA.
