From Putin’s perspective, Hillary interfered in Russian elections, used NGO’s and State Dept personnel to aid and abet a coup that ousted Ukraine’s democratically elected President Yanukovich (a Russian puppet who was honest by Clinton standards...), left Putin the choice of engineering a civil war and partitioning Ukraine, or letting Ukraine slip into the EU/NATO orbit and losing its Black Sea naval bases (all of which he would consider an existential threat to Russia), then punished Russia with economic sanctions, then accepted bribes via the CGI, Bill and the Podestas to undo the sanctions, but welched. She also worked to promote Islamists in the Middle East, against Russia’s desire to combat the jihadi onslaught that is another major threat to Russia.
Trump was the devil the Russians didn’t know, and they could expect to benefit from his rookie mistakes, domestic opposition, etc. I expect they consider Hillary Clinton to be an incompetent, power mad criminal, and would have preferred almost anyone be President except her. Maybe I am projecting.

Odd that they had so much evidence of “collusion to influence an election with a foreign government”, which would be very illegal, and yet they did nothing until months after the election was won.
