Shattuck: Establishment media wants to distract us from unmasking scandal
The Boston Herald ^ | 04-05-17 | Tom Shattuck

Posted on 04/05/2017 3:04:03 AM PDT by calvincaspian

President Barack Obama’s former national security adviser, Susan Rice, is caught like a rat in a glue trap and there is nothing that the establishment media can do but try to block your view.

It’s not their best look, but it’s all they’ve got.

Naturally, The New York Times and CNN led the pack.

The Times on Monday described the scandal as “a string of reports in conservative news media outlets,” conveniently ignoring the corroboration of moderate sources like Bloomberg View. The headline: “Trump Tries to Deflect Russia Scrutiny, Citing ‘Crooked Scheme’ by Obama.”

CNN’s Don Lemon ignored the stunning revelations of a politically motivated abuse of power, and insisted he was doing us all a favor, declaring that he would not “aid and abet the people who are trying to misinform you, the American people, by creating a diversion.”

What truly astounds me is Rice attempting to make the distinction of asking the name of a source from “unmasking” the name of the source.

If you ask for the name of a source of an intelligence report, you are unmasking it. Maybe only to yourself, but you are unmasking the source.

Why would she WANT to know the name of a source, if she had not planned on using it?

Whoever it is that complied to Rice’s request to unmask the names must be starting to sweat, as they are the one that committed the actual crime, which makes them vulnerable for a plea deal, which makes them a danger to the former administration. I smell another mugging-gone-wrong in the air..

Maybe, maybe not. She did have the authority to request that information, and the authority to receive it.

However, the procedures in Intelligence Oversight regulations delineate exactly what the information can be used for, none of which actually occurred.

She is totally on the hook for all of this.

She is asking for the name of the source to attack the of the source thus demeaning their credibility. This is standard demoRAT operating procedure. Find a name destroy the name’s life. Problem solved. They never had credibility because their life is in shambles, now.

While doing a little “channel surfing” of the mainstream/leftist media yesterday, the “news” and commentary I saw was all basically “Squirrel!”, “Squirrel!”, “Squirrel!”...

I know why she asked for the name of the source, I totally agree with you.

But she had to have a specific reason for the request in the first place which would have passed muster with the approval authorities.

What I want to see is the paperwork that requested the order, the approved signature and the dates. About a week ago, someone on this site mentioned that nothing in government is done without a paper trail.

Sessions needs to pull the documentation and if there isn’t any, start issuing subpoenas because it is then an illegal act. And “my dog ate the paperwork” will not fly in this instance.

hat would they do IF President Trump used Obama’s tools on them????

I believe that is why there is panic in the swamp. These type of people always think they will have the control, but now an outsider has control.

And he does not play with same rule book, there are many people sweating trying to determine if they are in crosshairs— we will know when and who - when we start seeing people retiring suddenly due to health issues.

Probably will not save them but worth a try.

The other will be when swamp dwellers leave for non extradition countries, for vacation then just never return..
Going to be very interesting in coming months,

The Boston Herald

A lady friend (who reluctantly voted for Trump—citing SCOTUS) refuses to discuss illegal activities by the Obama Administration. She only gets TV MSM news.

The Boston Globe is Boston's biggest newspaper, and The Boston Herald has a small tabloid format. If it wasn't for Howie Carr's humorous political columns, it probably wouldn't exist in The Bay State.

Some chrome-domed idiot named Max something or other was literally foaming at the mouth on Tucker Carlson's show last night about Trump and the Russians. . .holy moly, the top of his bald little head was about to explode. . ."don't look at that woman behind the curtain unmasking names.. .I AM THE MIGHTY AND ALL POWERFUL OZ!!!!!IT'S THE RUSSIANS I TELL YOU!!

So Carlson asks for evidence of it.. .and the guy just puffs up more smoke. This guy, btw, kept emphasizing his Republican creds. . .in other words, his #neverTrump GOPe creds. TOTAL EVIL, this guy.

That is what Nunes saw. It is also why Shi(ff)t Face is hiding.

After he saw it he knew felonies had been committed. Remember, this goes back before Trump was even the Nominee.
I suspect there are others that ran in the Primaries of the Republican Party that were snooped on also.

I saw that. That is all the left has now. They invested so much on the Trump Collusion story they are left exposed.

Funny thing, all these idjits pushing this narrative are doing so because of a LIE they were spoon fed by Rice/Rhodes and company.

Didn't Rice basically admit that spying took place when she said this:

MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell got in on the action as well. “Did you seek the names of people ... to unmask the names of people involved in the Trump transition, the Trump campaign, people surrounding the president-elect in order to spy on them, in order to expose them?”

Rice blurted, “Absolutely not for any political purposes ...”

Scott Pelley was a close second, so close that when CNN stopped Pelley's nose got Smelly.
