That would simply mean there are others involved in a conspiracy to undermine and compromise the president elect and then the president of the united states.
This was already predicted. In fact the democrats basically told us long ago they were, "Going to do whatever they had to do to ensure Trump would fail or be removed from office".

I suppose that (sad state or not) depends on the ramifications of conducting oneself improperly. Used to be, that was grounds for being run out of town and shunned.

Look at 50 USCS § 1809. It doesn’t actually say it’s a felony, but it says 5 years in jail. I think generally more than 1 year in jail is considered a felony.
