One more thought re your claim that no one cares about polls more than Trump. You say this is a given, since Trump tweeted about favorable polls during the campaign.

This indicates one of two things: A, you don’t know much about battle/war strategy, or B, you fail to grasp the similarity between a military campaign and a political campaign.

The similarities don’t typically include getting shot at during a political campaign (though some anti-Trump thugs did become physically aggressive). But otherwise the parallels are very real.

Look at Trump as the general and his supporters as the ground troops. It was a long slog between the time Trump declared his candidacy and Election Day. During that time we were barraged day and night by enemy fire. It never let up.

We had few if any allies. The GOP was against us; so were the Democrats, ditto the Establishment, the Uniparty, the DC Elite, the Globalists, the corporatists, most unions, the MSM, the NeverTrumpers, the neocons, illegals, the Cheap Labor Express, Gloria Allred, human traffickers, and child molesters—to name a few.

Sometimes it seemed the whole world was against us. We endured lies, smears, nonstop anti-Trump propaganda, and everything and anything they could come up with to lower our morale. The attacks continued 24/7, without respite.

I admit it; there were times when morale sagged a little. It was hard to see how Trump could overcome such a never-ending tsunami of opposition.

Into this scenario came Trump with his upbeat, spirit-boosting tweets. As a great general, he knew the value of good morale. He also knew that with his millions upon millions of followers, he was the only one who could really rally the troops and do it effectively.

And that he did. Yes, him tweeting out positive poll results was part of his morale-building effort. He knew, with at least 97% of the stories about him being negative, we could use some good news now and then. Bear in mind that the polsters hadn’t yet waited until election eve to announce that Trump had barely a 2% chance of winning. We didn’t yet fully grasp how fake the polls were, so we appreciated Trump’s tweets showing he was ahead.

Anyone who either understands military strategy or else who supports Trump, already grasps everything I’ve just written. Mostly only Trump haters and those who know nothing about morale don’t get it. Namely: it wasn’t about the polls. It was about keeping the morale of the troops high leading up to election day.

I hope this enables you to understand Trump’s tweets more clearly.
