That sounds like fun...everybody get enough to eat?
Does Maddi have a favorite? Or whatever is on Grandpa’s plate?
How high does the wheat get before “cutting”, or whatever you do to wheat?
Good evening, Luv....lots of flying things at NAS Fallon, for sure!
Question answered. Glad it will save you chicken poop.
The wheat is as tall as it will get now. It’s gone to seed. A couple of weeks ago, it was barely above my ankles when I stood in the field to get lightning pix.
If it was going to be harvested, it would be done when it’s dry and yellow/brown. But this will be plowed under to fertilize the soil fairly soon. Can’t do anything as long as we keep getting these rain systems rolling through though. Too muddy and the machinery will get stuck.
In the meantime, we get to enjoy that pretty wheat waving in the breeze.
You don’t know how much we appreciate no chicken poop this year. LOL! That stuff is RANK! But it’s a great fertilizer.
Good thing we aren’t on a pro team. LOL!
Ain’t dat da trute? LOL
I called Hospice of Anchorage and had to leave a message, but the lady I DID talk to said that is what they do.
Then I googled the senior medical group (both hospitals here have set up Medicare offices because so many doctors no longer take Medicare) and found it in the same complex as the hospital really close to home. I printed off the “new patient” paperwork and will start on it. I really hope I can get the assessment this week. I can take off Thursday and/or Friday to be here.
Thinking further, I need to make the doctor appointment no matter what, just to get her a new doctor. I’ll have to work on that tomorrow if I have time. We are not doctor goers. The last time I took her was a couple years ago to get a handicapped placard. And I only go to the chiropractor and the knee doc.
I will have to ask Karma to help me, no, I can’t help much...to get her down the last two little steps to the downstairs wheelchair. I think I can still handle the getting into and out of the car if she can take the few steps needed. Then I will have to ask for his help again to get her up the 2 little steps to the chairlift.
I need to do this soon.
The left is unhinged!! Did you give it back? Or were they their normal cowards?
Glad you were able to get the ball rolling today. I was afraid you’d be too busy and wouldn’t get the chance until later in the week.
We aren’t doctor-goers either so I know where you’re coming from on that. I was told to get a primary care doctor lined up when I signed up for Medicare and have an appointment to meet him next week. I know I’ll need to have a blood profile done before my eye surgery in a couple of months so he can take care of that. Otherwise, I’m just in his records for now.
I hope she’s still able to take a few steps when you do get her to a doctor. That’ll be a big help. If she’s not, will Karma be willing to go along with you to help her get in and out of the car? He seems like a really nice guy.
radu.....#50!!
He is a saint...he’s come a couple times in the middle of the night....2:30a just a week and a half ago. I think he’s from Tibet, or maybe Nepal. He has an assisted living home and knows all the lifting tricks.
Yikes.....glad you are getting American made.
I remember when you had to call him a short while back in the middle of the night. And recall other times you’ve had to do it. Knowing the lifting tricks and being willing to help out at any time makes him a wonderful neighbor and friend.
It isn’t always easy getting American made parts for autos these days. So many are made in China and Mexico. Hubby cusses those because they always go out so quickly, which means he has to replace them again and again.
I do wish the lug nuts would show up soon. My poor ol’ back reeeeeeally hates loading stuff in and out of the back seat. The back end of the station wagon is so much easier.
Really sounds like things are getting dicey with your mom and I sure hope you can find the right solution before long. I know you must be a nervous wreck at work for fear she’ll injure herself while you are gone!
It IS nice to look at.....d:o) Great picture.
((HUGS))Good morning, Ladies. Thanks for this morning's thread, Lauren. How's it going?
