Parsec error... :)
Your or I would be buried under that taxi-way that Harrison Ford managed to land on.
Once report I read said that he was concerned about wake turbulence from a departing airliner.
Wake turbulence can ruin your whole day.
Here we go:
“Im the schmuck who landed on the taxiway, Ford told the tower shortly after touching down in his single-engine Aviat Husky on Feb. 13. I was distracted by the airliner in moving when I turned into the runway and the wake turbulence by the Airbus.
Different rules for the Hollywood elite.
Largest planes flying out of OC Airport are 757s.
I believe McShame is responsible for crashing/destroying 4 planes.
He also nearly sank a carrier (one of ours) and caused the death of 117 sailors.
Delta landed a 767 on a taxiway in ATL, and a southwest 737 did the same in STL..pilot error, nothing happened...airlines and FAA covered both up..no biggie,...unless someone dies.
History will never show that it wasn't an accident. That the other pilot was so mad at McCain that he fired his missile trying to hit McCain's jet.
Officially though, it was an accident. ; )
Oops, hit the wrong number key.
Worst aircraft for wake turbulence is the Boeing 757 - way worse than 747.
757’s and Aviat Husky’s don't mix well.
He’s also a good helicopter pilot, and has flown several rescue flights at the request of the sheriff around Jackson Hole.
Well, I ain’t flying with him.

A Husky is a modernized knock off of a Piper Super Cub.
Wake turbulence from a commercial jet in a Husky on final will ruin your day and maybe your life.
Almost rolled a Super Cub inverted from wake turbulence from a smaller plane a lot smaller than an Airbus.
If Ford is telling the truth, then he did OK. Of course, if I did what he did, my story would be wake turbulence too, and I'd be sticking to it.
Flying a very low wing loading, tail wheel aircraft like a Husky into John Wayne does not demonstrate superior aeronautical judgment due to the danger of wake turbulence
Wake turbulence from a 757 brought down a private plane carrying most of the upper management of In-N-Out Burger at OC Airport several years ago. There wasn’t supposed to be that many key people on one plane but they violated their own rules. As I recall the 757 was very new and they modified procedures after that because the wake turbulence was different from what anticipated in the design of the plane.
I understand that Ford is a veteran pilot with many hours under his belt he’s flown Solo many times (4 flicks by my count :) and he’s certainly no Wookiee ...
Made the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs, too.
“Approach”, Naval Aviation’s Safety magazine, once had an article about a Navy P-3 Orion shooting an approach to a runway. A CH-53 helo was doing “touch & goes” to the grass area adjacent to the runway. The P-3 rolled into 60 degrees of bank due to “wake turbulence” from the Sea Stallion.
I was departing New Orleans, IIRC, in a CH-53 once. The Tower advised, “All traffic runway 27, caution, wake turbulence from departing Heavy.”

I’m quite sure McShames dad made sure the report read that way.
Interestingly, it was the same airport where wake turbulence killed the founder of In 'n' Out Burger. I believe that accident was what first triggered discussions about the impact of wake turbulence.
