More proof that coastal states are just fly over zones.

I live on Long Island. I was born here. I can tell you, it's not your daddy's Long Island anymore. It's basically a sh*thole.
I'm one of those guys that are still here because of my job. Once I leave this job I leave Long Island. No love lost.
When I was growing up, Long Island was beautiful. I couldn't imagine living anywhere else. Now it's a disgrace. An Island filled with Haves and Have-Nots who want nothing to do with each other. The Have-Nots live better than the working class and consider them fools. The working class are the Schmucks of Society. They work, work, and work and pay taxes, taxes, and taxes and never get anywhere.
The corrupt Public Unions (Cops and Teachers) horde the wealth and the Counties claim poverty and deficits. When these overpaid Public Union employees retire, they leave the Island and spend their Long Island citizen-funded Pensions and Welfare benefits elsewhere.
Long Island has few high paying private-sector jobs, heavy drug use, plenty of crime, and lots of hate.
Like I said, a Sh*thole.

People leaving NY are like people leaving China; There’s a billion more where they came from.

Yes, unfortunately they and the Californians are moving to Colorado at an alarming rate and bringing their sh*t politics with them. We’re still saddled with insane gun laws brought to us by a Bloomberg New Yorker who sneaked into the legislature before being recalled.

If true, I'm not noticing. Commuter trains to NYC are jammed and getting more crowded. Almost impossible to get around NYC by car. Restaurants are out the door. Then Long Island, forget about it. 14 hours a day of gridlock.
People might be chortling about NY losing people but I'm not buying it. Come meet me at 5:30am on the Metro North train platform and I'll show you crowds.

I’d rather live in the “rust belt” (insulting phrase), than the sodomy belt or the culture-of-death belt (that would be NY and California).

Here in the greater Tampa area, it seems like everyone I meet is from NY, NJ or Chicago.
However, nice thing is most of them are conservatives fleeing the dem controlled areas.
