The Republican and Democrat parties are essentially a bad unibrow with one distinction: Whereas Democrats lie in pursuit of their goals, ideology, and objectives, Republicans lie in pursuit of … the other side’s goals, ideology, and objectives.
One of the most indelible moments in recent political history, etched in the minds of voters who detest Obamacare, is when Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) declared, “we have to pass the bill so you can find out what’s in it.” Now, with a GOP that has made it clear they want to preserve Obamacare under the dastardly lie of repealing it, they have come full George Orwell circle, and are repeating the same mantra. Facts and details don’t matter. Drafting errors don’t matter. Adverse selection, insolvency, and political suicide don’t matter. Cause and effect market responses don’t matter. Yet, before the bill was pulled, Rep. Chris Collins, (R-N.Y.) an ardent proponent of amnesty, said “once we get it done, then we can really explain what’s in it.”
Thankfully, this travesty was finally pulled from the floor. But the lies and principles behind this bill, culminating with Rep. Collins literally echoing the modus operandi of Nancy Pelosi, demonstrates that we don’t have a party that represents our views.

They said we needed the House. They got it.
They said they needed the Senate. They got it.
They said once we have the presidency we’d repeal it.
The fifth sentence of Ryan’s “Better Way to Fix Health Care” declared, “Obamacare must be fully repealed so we can start over and take a new approach.”
Now they look at us like we are from Mars when we actually want them to repeal it and not merely preserve it with more insolvency.
That’s the problem. The House GOP “conservatives” are part of the swamp. Hence the disinformation and purity spiraling over the healthcare bill. They knew that refusing to work with the President and that a straight up full repeal instead of a three phase plan would result in the vote not taking place, period. Ryan wanted that too, to be honest. Both sides had the same goal: save Obamacare.
So only work with 20% of Congress? Kind of hard to pass bills that way.

Exactly. Almost to the word what I’ve been saying all week. It was reinforced when I saw Rove, Norquist and other consummate swamp-monsters parroting Ryan’s BS. It was clear this was a lobbyist bill being masqueraded as ‘the best we can do’. Total BS.
They gain all their power pushing their bullshit about repealing this crap sandwich, then when they have all the power, they wanna back out. Yea, same old shhhhhhhh from the GOP. They want that lobbying money.

Bear in mind that Ryan won the speakership initially on a vote of 200 to 43. The Freedom Caucus and a few others opposed him, and what I guess you’d call the “mainstream Republicans” won.
Now that split in the House GOP has proven that Ryan cannot get things done. The Freedom Caucus did not have enough votes to prevent him from becoming Speaker in the first place, but they have enough votes to prevent his legislation from being passed.
It is time for a new Speaker.
Conservative Review is the swamp. The owner is pushing hard for repeal to recoup his billion dollar business.
And save Obamacare, they did.
Since the GOP could not get it done, Trump will be forced
to work with 187 GOP moderates and RAT’s to fix and fund
Obamacare. He will have the votes.
Neither party is going to allow this entitlement to fail.
There is nothing to replace it with.
Dear Congress Critters; We don't trust you anymore. We want Obamacare to go away, not morph into another failed government designed catastrophe. Left to its own merits (or demerits) any socialist program will naturally collapse.
I bet if they brought up the repeal deal that Obummer vetoed, it would get passed in a heartbeat.

There are all kinds of freepers who wanted to pass Obamacare II, just to pass something, even if it made things worse.
I think it was Ryan’s intent to hang it around Trump’s neck to make sure he was a one term President so they could get back to business as usual, importing cheap labor and selling out America

How is he supposed to stop people from voting RINOs in? The reason the GOP has the majority is because they have Republicans from moderate districts. If it was all conservative then the Dems would have the majority.
Unless more conservative move across the nations into every moderate district, people aren’t being realistic.
Think about this. Trump played nice and went along. He had nothing to lose and couldn't lose. Ryan bet the farm on his prowess as a leader of a majority house and failed.
Now Obamacare will march along into perdition and ultimately die an agonizing death.
Then the establishment will come to Trump crying and fasting for him to save them.
