Just one more reason to homeschool, form cooperatives with other parents, or sacrifice that new car or new house to private school your child.

So....Why would any loving and caring parent subject their tender little child to physical and emotional aabuse, educational malpractice, and spiritual poison just to attain a political goal?

Children should never be used a political pawns in the vicious grown up game of politics. **That** is the very definition of abuse.

Principals, who supposedly oversee the lib teachers, are not doing their jobs, probably out of fear of union reprisal and possibly because they share the same warped lib views. Teachers should be forced to concentrate on teaching the curriculum. If they did, we'd have much better educated kids.

Sitting here laughing. Very good!

Expect a knock on the door from the Ministry of Truth.

< I wonder what would happen If you could be exempt from paying school taxes if you filled out a form proving that your child is homeschooled. I bet the education system might make a few changes after they lost all that revenue.

Sounds suspiciously like capitalism. Voluntary consumers, market forces, competition. I'm reporting you, citizen 2001.

lol

Re: “Should petition”

Woulda...Coulda...Shoulda.....It's been going on since the early 50s when my brother was taught “Whole Word”.

Good luck with **that** failed strategy.

I think your points are valid, but the phrase "not possible" has no place in America when it comes to looking out for the interests of your family.

Educating your kids at home and sending them to formal private schools are not the only options here. The author's point is that churches should figure out how to do this effectively and without forcing parents to pay enormous costs.

So what’s YOUR strategy?

Where we live there are no muslims, no mosques, flags everywhere you drive, and prayer in public is common.

Change your culture by moving. Not easy I realize but we did it and are happy.

“spiritual damage, extreme indoctrination, and other serious problems”

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Yes, I understand this, but hasn’t this been the case from at least since the 1960s?

And, playing devil’s advocate, can’t this also be said of schools were the enemy is active?

Perhaps, Christians are most needed in amongst non-believers. Is that not the point of the Great Commission?

This is simply not possible for most people.

I'd go into a burning building to save my children, or die trying.

And, is what the author is saying(whether intended or not), is that the Church is raising weak Christians??

I completely disagree with you on that. A government-run school system has no place in a free nation — PERIOD.

I worked two jobs for the first 8 years so I could put my kids through a private Christian School. Public school is hideous.

It’s terrible that American children feel “jailed” and guarded by police all day at school.

Maybe special schools for “dreamers” and non-citizens are required? Ha! Imagine getting the American taxpayer to pay for that.

Not REALISTICALLY possible. Yes, for most there may be possible ways, however slight. I read an article last week that most Americans couldn't write a check for $500 because they were so stretched from paycheck to paycheck, so no matter how much many parents many care, their options are severely limited.

Also, one thing that is not to be ignored is that many of the so-called "mainstream" churches these days have become ultra-liberal, so even if Church Schools become a possibility, you may not want to pursue that choice.

That has already happened in Los Angeles, 40% of the Students are Illegal Aliens or children of Illegal Aliens. The vast Majority of American Citizens have already pulled their children out or converted their schools to charter schools. They just keep importing Illegal Aliens to make up the shortfall in students.

More than Half the Schools and the Employees would be CLOSED AND FIRED were it not for Illegal Aliens.,

Yes, moving out of sanctuary cities and depriving them of your taxes is a great idea.

Glad you all got to relocate to a great place!

20 years ago Cal Thomas issued a similar directive. That’s when I started homeschooling, but I was familiar with the concept because my sister had been homeschooling for years. None of our kids were harmed by homeschooling, we have an airline pilot for a major US carrier, 2 MBAs both management positions in Fortune 100 companies, , a PE in Structural Engineering, a Captain in the Army at 26 years of age. No bragging, just fact...homeschool helps your child excel, and they don’t lack socialization skills :)

Kudos, you may be eligible for a Nobel Peace prize.

There are a lot of people who do not value education as much as they should. many of those become the snowflakes we see everyday now. Those are the ones that have to be targeted.

BTW, when you pull your kids out of the burning building, where are you sending them to school?
