This is BS. They knew what they could do months ago.

well, what if we get 80% (the 80% to include repeal of any gun related measures)?

Sounds to me like Trump might have convinced McConnell to use the “Super-Nuclear Option”. That would be the idea Ted Cruz had that would have Mike Pence, as leader of the Senate, overrule the Senate Parliamentarian and push the entire repeal through, overriding the Byrd Amendment that says only certain budget neutral items can be passed using the 50 vote budget rules.

In other words, Ryan didn’t try very hard. I wonder why.

A couple of thoughts. 1, CHANGE THE DAMNED RULE!! 2. what ever you come up with it needs to be shown to the AMERICAN people for their open review and discussion for a WEEK before you vote!! Why are they hiding this from the people? . We want to SEE it first!! Why not??

This is a move in the right direction- how do I know? the democraps are losing their minds over it.
And I do not believe for one second they ‘suddenly’ discovered some procedural rules that allow this.

Yeah they did
If correct, this should open folks’ eyes as to the true motivations of the Speaker and his allies, in pushing this AHCA disasterpiece

Might we suggest another House Speaker. Shouldn’t Ryan be aware, more aware, of what can and cannot be done? He has not been trusted and his actions now have not altered the first conclusion. Our President needs a more informed ally and one he can trust. It seems Ryan has backed DJT into a corner as to sign or veto this bill. Either way Ryan comes out on top leaving DJT boxed in.
I certainly trust DJT much more than Lyin’ Ryan.

Games politicians play. I think Cruz and Trump, when they huddled discussed this and Cruz laid it out for Trump. Trump probably asked Price to confirm it which he did and now Trump has all the facts.

After decades of weakness and mistakes and political maneuvering losses and ineffectiveness and impotence - if the Republicans could pull that off....I would cry tears of joy.

Which of the two engaged in the greater deception?
Which of the two, when pressed, more readily attacked the base of his own party?

He’s either lying and DID know about this procedural rule, or he’s as dumb as a rock for not finding out MUCH sooner. Either way, and combined with his track record for duplicity against conservatives and conservative causes, he has to go - and soon. Oh, and I don’t believe that he just found out...he ISN’T stupid, he’s merely a lying sack of shiite.

The whole damn bill was passed with 51 senate votes so it most certainly can be shut down with the same number of votes. Does anyone ever tell the effin’ truth anymore?
