Glad you got through the storms unscathed. Sounds like it was wild out there yesterday.
Even as a normal happening, which it is here, it can be un-nerving. I LOVE storms but some can be more than bargained for.
You could have gotten some spectacular shots here yesterday. I don’t even open the blinds! lol

It was a good enough day. Nothing bad happened any way. LOL! A little chilly and breezy but it’ll warm back up tomorrow.
There’s a lightning shot in post #46 from last night. There were a couple of other keepers but that was the best one.

Didn’t go out. Hubby getting dough ready for bread baking so we couldn’t leave the house for long. He did go get Italian take-out...I had lasagna...and I was happy not to have to get dressed and all that stuff. LOL!

Shoo, I’m outside a ways from the house to get clear of the trees with camera in hand until the rain runs me inside. LOL! Can’t see much from inside the house due to trees but once in a while the storms are in the right place to get lightning shots through a window. Last evening wasn’t one of those times, durn it. Got a few good shots before I was run inside at least.
Hubby doesn’t care much for lightning because he’s been struck. He hates it when I go outside but knows there’s no point in complaining about it. All he can do is hope he hears the door open meaning I made it back inside. LOL

Italian sounds scrumptious and you’re right, it can be nice to eat it without having to gussy up. More relaxing without a crowd too. Sounds like a great birthday overall.
It would have been nice here today if the wind hadn’t been blowing. A jacket was required when I went to the grocery store because the wind would have gone through a sweater.
Back into the upper 60s tomorrow and 70s for several days afterwards. Maybe Spring has come to stay at last.
Wish we could huff and puff and send a little of this nice weather your way. Much better than the 90s you’ve been dealing with.

2 windows in my house are 5’ wide and 2’ tall but 6’ from the floor. I can see more than necessary of what’s happening in the sky! lol

Our windows are plenty large but there are too many trees close to the house blocking the view. If a storm is north of the house, I can watch through a bedroom window though. One of my fave lightning shots was through that window. Glad I wasn't outside when that one hit!

They say we’ll have more storms Sat. evening. They aren’t calling for severe storms this time but we’re keeping tabs on the forecasts. They weren’t calling for severe storms for yesterday and plenty of folks got hammered.
It’s Spring time. LOL
Yep, it’s springtime when anything can happen. Hope it’s just nice rain for you and no tornadoes or high winds!
That little cloud just made a wide berth around the north of town and is just about to disappear. sigh
There’s no big cool-down behind the storm system this weekend so it shouldn’t be too wild. Works for us! We’ll be happy for just rain for a change after the past couple of weeks.
Now if a system would just roll through your neck o’ the woods! Not a wild one, just a wet one.
