It Took a Freshman GOP Congresswoman To Pull The Mask From FBI Director Comey…
The Conservative Treehouse ^ | March 20, 2017 | Sundance

Posted on 03/20/2017 7:54:30 PM PDT by bobsunshine

Representative Elise M. Stefanik is a young, freshman republican congresswoman from the Albany New York area. And using a probative questioning timeline, she single-handily pulled the mask from FBI Director James Comey, yet no-one seemed to notice.

Obviously Ms. Stefanik has not been in the swamp long enough to lose her common sense.

In the segment of the questioning below Rep. Stefanik begins by asking director Comey what are the typical protocols, broad standards and procedures for notifying the Director of National Intelligence, the White House and senior congressional leadership (aka the intelligence Gang of Eight), when the FBI has opened a counter-intelligence investigation.

The parseltongue response from Comey is a generalized reply (with uncomfortable body language) that notification of counter-intel investigations are discussed with the White House, and other pertinent officials, on a calendar basis, ie. “quarterly”.

With the statement that such counter-intel notifications happen “generally quarterly”, and against the backdrop that Comey stated in July of 2016 a counter-intel investigation began, Stefanik asks:

…”when did you notify the White House, the DNI and congressional leadership”?

Watch the last 25 seconds of Comey’s testimony, an unforced error, lame attempt to explain why they did not notify Congress—

“Sometimes we want to keep it tight within the executive branch....”

Agree, he lied again. He had just said he didn't notify the Whitehouse. On the question where she asked about the Whitehouse and other branches, he didn't respond about when he notified the Whitehouse.

Look at his body language in the first several minutes...he gets where she is going with this line of questioning & he’s flatfooted.

My bet is she was probably given a question to ask by someone in the GOP. She instead asked her own unapproved question instead. Gowdy was probably mad because she didn’t follow the script.

Being a freshman, she might be concerned more about serving her constituants than blindly following the party line.

And the guy behind Comey started texting someone full throttle during that part of the testimony.. They knew Comey messed up.

Come contradicted himself and also refused to say when he notified the whitehouse which he kept referring to as the executive branch.

>>>Comey can try to make all the excuses in the world, but there is no justification for an 8 month lapse in notifying Congress. He had no problem in quickly writing that letter to Congress about reopening the Clinton email case due to the new emails found on Weiner’s laptop.<<<<

Nice catch. Didn’t he just as quickly close the Clinton email case as well?

All done while he was investigating Trump.

Nice catch. Explains the last 25 seconds of the video:

Comey’s unforced error.

i watched the video- I didn’t see her stop her questioning because of a look- she was focused on comey- not gowdy- she moved to ask about another issue, because the second issue was important as well, and she was running out of time- then brought the question back up again at the end to get him on record- She knew he wasn’t going to answer truthfully=- and now it’s on record-

“We have to figure out how to navigate that information” I believe he said — in otherword-s they have to figure out how to lie to the republican president to keep the democratic agenda going before they ‘brief senior officials’

It didn’t appear to me that she stopped because of any look from gowdy-

Comey definitely was hiding truth. Someone is pulling his strings. I wonder what obama has on him considering he was probably wiretapped by obama.

Yes....makes one think Comey walked into that meeting not expecting any such question like this coming up. He was totally messed up.

Seems like it’s grounds for firing his incompetent behind.
Seems there’s more at play here than meets the eye. For someone who has held a secret clearance, this democrat operative needs to be in jail.

Can the FBI director be fired? I thought he has a 10 year appointment.

No, the FBI Director cannot be fired. Even the President of the United States cannot fire him. Unlike all other appointed civil servants, the FBI Director is unfireable. /s

Good points, Pic7 !

Ping to Comey replies to congresswoman’s questions; his replies contradict what he said previously.

Perjury...

This is very confusing because some comment was made re the Flynn logistics at the time of the call - and it was said that Flynn was in a foreign country (not Trump Tower).

I thought that sounded weird, but nobody questioned it.

However, Clapper and Brennan had been surveiling Trump since Bush 41; in Trump Tower.

The facade is crumbling down. This clip confirms intelligence agency leaders were colluding with the White-house to illegally surveil the political opponent in nixionian fashion. The Russian angle is a diversion because the Russians have seeked to corrupt every election , every candidate for the last century and in this case it was Hillary’s campaign the Russians by comeys own admission is who they wanted to disrupt because Hillary was going to win, so this is an easily debunked narrative. Making up fake Russian claims about a phony Trump KGB connection, then gathering intelligence data on Trump is a poor and illegal excuse to politically abuse surveillance powers of which it is now obvious the real collision is between this willfully blind intelligence committee, Comey and the fallen Obama regime.

I noticed the off sarcasm /s at the end of busek’s statement.

Yes, the FBI can be fired but there are things that are playing in the background out of view here.

Here’s some good background reading on firing FBI Directors including one that was fired under Clinton/Reno:

http://heavy.com/news/2016/10/james-comey-fired-fbi-director-hillary-clinton-email-private-server-influence-election

Comey is a complicated figure. He’s an Obama holdover and I believe he was left in place because of this statement:

“... the bureau has been quietly investigating possible links between associates of President Donald Trump and Russian officials ...”

It looks bad for a President to fire an FBI Director who states the President’s team is under investigation.

So maybe it was said to delay his firing by President Trump.

After President Trump forces his hand on ‘Russians!’, he should be fired. He’s shown some shiftiness in his positions when what is needed is integrity and forthrightness. If something is too sensitive for a public hearing, he can require a closed hearing or simply state that he’s not authorized to disclose. Instead, he obfuscates while attempting to appear transparent.

They were taping the Russian when Flynn called him. That is how he was picked up and recorded, but releasing Flynn’s name was a felony.
