Yes Jesus did help me because, ahem, I am not known far and wide for being quiet and reserved. Turning the other cheek is not my forte is what I am saying here.
I don’t know the rules about communicating before mass. Back when I was in the choir and the very mean Father Jim was our Pastor, we were told that we bothered the parishioners praying quietly before mass in their pews.
“You don’t want me to have to come out and shut you up,” father Jim told us, kind of a mean way to put it I thought. We had to be in place at choir an hour before mass began. We had parts to give out and last minute music adjustments to go over.
And we get beat up for communicating?
So I understand the prayer before mass but I think it’s very unrealistic to expect people not to talk before mass although there are limits of course.
I wrote Father Tom an email asking him to seek my side should anything come of this. Iris, for the record, is leader of the confirmation teaching group, very involved.
It’s not like this big mouthed jerk didn’t beat on some people who are hard workers for the church. No I don’t know him and never want to.
Father Tom got a new knee by the way. To me he looks exactly the same and is still very big. He does seem to get around a bit better but I expected more.

Why is the gummit offering any assistance to HC? Get out of the insurance industry and let the market do its job.

All I have been dealing with is the original three phases of it as originally put out.
First phase,some of the death of zero care included 51 votes necessary in Senate to pass phase one.
Second phase more of the affordable care gotten rid of but not key elements,51 votes necessary in Senate.
Third phase where the real meat is,buying insurance across state lines etc. really important to installing Ryan-care but "supposedly" requires 60 votes in the Senate.
Big question that has been posed this week is: Does Mitch McConnell have the ability to change the 60 vote necessity for phase three and go nuclear with 51 votes simply by changing Senate rules which he can do? I don't know the answer to that one yet.But ts key.

I tell you I’ve been shocked by some of the things I’ve learned of late.
Like I said in my long missive upthread, I had no idea that countries all over the world were allowed to take advantage of America by not paying their agreed upon dues, be it for UN or NATO.
I’ve also learned, as you pointed out after much discussion right here on FreeRepublic, that other countries have spies and intelligence....on US....and it’s small problem asking the Brits what they’ve got on Trump.
I recall the arguments, on this very forum, that the FISA act would prevent another 9-11, that our rights would not be abridges, that if you’re not doing anything wrong, why do you care?
And boom, just like that we learn with but a snap of the fingers an American politico can just get information on American citizens by.....? ASKING THE BRITS! ASKING THE GERMANS! HELL, EVEN BY ASKING THE RUSSIANS!!
Never believe a thing they say, people.
And don’t believe if they want information on YOU, they can get it, easy, no problem.
Trump was a private citizen like you and me and that should bother everyone, not just the Right.
Historically Ryan has placed numerous "kill obamacare bills" on zeros desk since he knew none would be signed and brought into law.
Now that he has a potus who will sign a kill obmacare bill he won't put one up which is exactly what needs to be done. Just kill the dam thing like Ann Coulter told Judge Judy last night and let 90% of those who want to buy health insurance buy it from the free enterprise system and then worry about the other ten per cent.
We have been bamboozled by the left again into worrying about a few who don't qualify for anything affordable in the private market.All the gyrations we are going through now deal with only one thing: "can we all get reelected in two years if we just kill the bill."
Once again we are back to term limits. Install term limits for everyone and they start doing the right thing. Keep things as they are and all we will get are political decisions like we are getting now.
To think that we can't take care of those few is naive and does not give the people of this country any credit at all. My guess is charitable organizations that now struggle due to a bizarre tax code could be charged with taking care of many of those who for one reason or another can't get insurance on their own.
Just revise the tax code to allow those who can afford it to be able to write off enough taxable profits to help those who need insurance and problem solved.
Keep going after rich people with a spear and you will keep the endless fight up between producers and glad handlers going on forever.
Quite possibly you could give those who can't afford health insurance for one reason or another vouchers to get their situations taken care of.
These vouchers could then be put up for sale to anyone or any corp. that needs additional tax write offs and the problem could be conceivably solved.
Well; regarding the Obamacare defunding bill, Paul RYNO didn’t say anything I didn’t like. But the seething snapping Marxists on the panel were fit to be tied.
Zeke Emmanuel, the “architect” of Obamacare should be in jail, not on TV.
Is RYNO trying to kiss up to conservatives? Sounds like, I certainly hope so.
He’d better “kiss up” to the voters that elected President Trump.

If the proper reforms are put in place (allowed to happen) both in the insurance industry and on the provider side, premiums will go back to where they were 20 years ago.

The Rep investigating the leaks is now backing off the statement Trump was not hacked. Lots of weasel words about how Flynn was listened into and leaked.
This is far from over that Trump was wiretapped.
Exactly, most of the cost of HC is from gummit oversight and regulations state, federal and local. Time to let the market do what it does best.
