Families come under siege as anti-cop agitators move into pipeline camps
There reached a point when the Dakota Access protest became less about debating the merits of pipeline routes and more about mixing it up with cops.
That’s when the danger spiked for officers and their families. While protesters were fueling worldwide outrage and fundraising over allegations of police brutality, an aggressive cohort of agitators was terrorizing the families of law-enforcement officers with threats of death, rape and arson.
“There were threats made to us, mostly that they were going to come burn down our houses or rape us while our husbands were gone,” said Allison Engelstad, who’s married to Jon Engelstad, a sheriff’s deputy in Morton County, North Dakota.
She had good reason to fear that protesters knew where they lived. The North Dakota State and Local Intelligence Center compiled a 41-page document of social media posts with threats along with photos, names, addresses and contact information for officers involved with the protest.
“Every one of these cops has familys [sic] … Make there [sic] family pay,” read one Facebook post.

Good point, I was referring to the Dakota protests and should have stated it.
Even the cops’ wives are probably tougher than these protestors. Up in North Dakota, it is quite easy to get a CCW and open carry is permitted. They’re not going to mess with a woman with a gun on her belt.
A bunch of wives should have gotten together, formed a protection force, complete with shifts of watching / standing guard, and well armed . . . and shoot them IF they dare tried to harm a spouse or child of the law enforcement officers. IF I lived there, I would have been one of the ones organizing such a force to deal with the scum . . . dead or alive . . . would make no difference.
Yep...I’d bet the farm many of those LEOs wives were armed, and armed legally.
All imminent treats of death should be met with lethal force.
It removes a threat and prevents them from breeding more like their evil.
It always seems that when the threateners are Lefties, LEO tolerance level somehow goes way, WAY up.
They best stay on beaten paths ... bunch o folks up there are tired of their BS and that includes the Redskin Native Americans.

Exactly.
The Lakota, back in the day, had some rather charming ways of dealing with those who offended them; maybe it is time to revive those methods on a couple of them as you suggest.
