Federal contractor hauls off 835 dumpsters of trash and debris from protest sites
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers wrapped up its $1.1 million cleanup of the Dakota Access pipeline protest camps on federal land in North Dakota, hauling away 835 dumpsters of remaining trash and debris. The site, once occupied by thousands of environmental demonstrators, is now vacant.

Corps Capt. Ryan Hignight said a total of 8,170 cubic yards of debris was removed from the three camps — Sacred Stone, Oceti Sakowin and Rosebud - all within the flood plain on federally managed land.
"In total, there were 835 roll-off dumpsters of trash and debris removed from the three camps together," Capt. Hignight said in an email.
Some items, including propane tanks and lumber, were set aside for recycling, The Associated Press reported.
The crew cleaned up only garbage on federal land. Sacred Stone, where 2,160 cubic yards of debris were removed, is partially on tribal land.

Environmentalist whackos destroying the environment to save it, just like the last Woodstock reunion.
The government should bill the organizations that illegally occupied that land. There is no reason why we taxpayers should continue to be responsible for the irresponsible actions of those ne’er do wells.
If they have to pay they will ensure cleanup when they leave.

How can the press call them environmental demonstrators when they leave trash and feces which fills 835 dumpsters? They are awful low animals.
These weren’t just regular dumpsters. A normal 4’ high dumpster holds about four cubic yards.
A roll off dumpster holds 40 cubic yards. A roll off is about half the size of a standard semi trailer, so figure these pigs left about 500 semi trailers full of trash.

I would have left it all there, with Hillary and Bernie campaign signs staked amidst the heaps.
Don’t the Authorities know wo who was there? Can’t they be found out? SUE them and Attach everything they own for their share of the cost. If they live at home with mommy and daddy, go after their assets.
