Let's also bash President Trump for saying he taped a TV show, or dialed a number.

You said what I was trying to think of: an anachronism.
After spending the summer with my grandparents I came back calling the fridge an “icebox”.

We knew what he was saying, and so do they. This is another “gotcha!” article (lie) from the left-wing MSM.

Those pesky facts. Trump said he was being spied upon. The Democrats attempt to listen in on his political strategies was a violation of his 4th amendment rights and a violation of federal statute Title 50, section 1802: https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/50/1802

But the left will play “gotcha” by quibbling over the nomenclature because it suggests Obama, Clinton & Co did nothing wrong, and that lie serves their agenda.

Bill Clinton: It depends on what the meaning of the word ‘is’ is.

Media: Crickets.

George W. Bush: Pronounces nuclear as new-clee-ahr and Nevada as Nevahda.

Media: Front page news and coverage of how Bush pronounced those words for weeks.

Barack Hussein Obama: I’ve been to 57 states. I’ve got one to go and I’m not allowed to go to Alaska or Hawaii. (So not 57 states but actually 60.)

Media: Crickets.

Trump: Wiretapping should be surveillance.

Media: Backpedaling! End of the world! Unfit for office! Burn him at the stake!

The Constitution guarantees the right to a "free press."

How many "presses" does CNN use to produce its subversive dreck?

Or “hung up” the phone.

It has been amazing to watch the WSJ transition to full on Leftist mouthpiece.

Do you think it would be a good idea for FR to start providing links on it’s homepage at, “Resource links” to all the leftist media sites so there is no need to fill up the side bar and forum with leftist fake news stories?

I think I got it. FR needs to change to a leftist site, that way all these people who keep posting all this leftist garbage will starting posting from conservative sites!

That way we will not be subjected to these relentless leftist articles and leftist babbling gibberish.

The Obama wire-tapping gang still has to face the music.

(JIM0216 hat tip)......the issue isn't whether Trump was wiretapped (Obama admitted such and apparently, there was a FISA warrant issued for the wiretapping). The issue is whether there was probable cause to issue a warrant. Probable cause is defined as the reasonable likelihood that a crime is or has been committed by the person or at the place designated........

===============================================

(REAGANGENERATION2 HAT TIP)---Trump should be able to review all 2 or 3 FISA requests (if he hasn’t already), and then let Congress determine if the requesters lied about the probable cause justifying them......then (1) you’d prove perjury, and, even worse, (2) the intent was to abuse executive power.

===========================================

A good beginning....and then it gets downright lethal for the Obama gang:

Via Breitbart, JOHN HAYWARD observed that the FISA court may have approved a warrant submitted without Trump’s name but “which Obama then misused to spy on Trump and many connected to Trump.”

Ergo the most serious legal jeopardy that might be faced would be (a) perjury for lying to the FISA court, and, (b) the dissemination of collected intelligence that should have been kept tightly classified.

===========================================

It is also entirely possible that Obama and his legal team may have perjured themselves before the FISA court by willfully withholding material information in order to manipulate the FISA court’s willingness to permit the government surveillance.

FALSIFYING GOVT DOCUMENTS would fall under the Crimes Act of 1958. Moreover, falsifying official documents is the criminal MO to hide larger crimes.

EXCERPT A person falsifying documents can be held criminally liable if they are deliberately acting with the intention of deceiving or defrauding another party.

Falsifying documents is a very serious offense and is generally classified as a felony. This means that a person charged with falsifying documents may be subject to the following legal penalties:
◾Having to pay a monetary fine
◾Incarceration in a prison facility

Depending on the gravity of the offense, as well as individual state laws, falsifying documents can result in a prison sentence of 5-10 years.

And if official government documents or govt authorities were involved, the legal penalties may be more severe. Legal penalties may increase with repeat offenses.

Many different types of acts can be considered as falsifying a document, including:
◾Altering or misrepresenting fact-based information
◾Stating false information when requested to provide truthful statements
◾Forging a signature
◾Using official letterheads without authorization
◾Knowingly using or distributing a fake document

The penalty for falsifying government documents is outlined in the Crimes Act of 1958.

It is like using the word “dial” for telephone. No one dials anymore. Or the turning of words such “Kleenex,” “bandaid” and “jello” into generic words when they are actually brand names.

The MSM knows exactly what he meant, they used the word themselves. Morons.

Non-issue!

And we all know that he was “wire tapped” so stop pretending. We know because private conversations were leaked to the press.

Agree. No backpedaling. In fact, I would say that wiretapping is a subset of surveillance.

Hope you are right about yanking out carpet ;)

It’s like arguing “tissue” vs. “Kleenex”. Amazing how the Media can get all lawyerly when distinctions appear to favor their side, but are blind when their side is playing ‘D’.

I dropped the WSJ a few years ago. Globalist amnesty loving frauds.

Anyway, there was no “backpeddling”. He used quotation marks for obvious reasons. Well, obvious to someone who isn’t a political journalist hack.

It’s not, but when does the press take every word a politician says and holds them to their exact definition? When that politician is not a Democrat.

WSJ wandered into the deep steaming liberal swamp long ago. They are the very voice of RINOs, and have no understanding of the values of thrift, frugality and sense of history. They have descended into the “go-go” financial freewheeling of hedge funds, ETFs and international corporate trading, including the flight of manufacturing from US shores.

One more thing to add to David’s side of the ledger in his fight with goliath Leviathan ...

Hillary! had the main stream media—newspapers, magazines, TV and the entertainment industry on her side, along with big money donors.
Pollsters sold their integrity to assist her.
She had Obama concerned about his legacy offering her a full panoply of incumbent federal offices and their influence along with the assistance of her former minions in the State dept.
Her wymyn supporters, of course and all their ilk, along with a lot of voters voting illegally, dead, `early and often’ etc.
And she had the support of neo-cons, the GOP-e and (disgracefully) former GOP presidents, along with a host of luminaries who had passed as conservatives for years.
Like the WSJ.

So if everything that has happened wasn’t enough, they are now chagrined to find that she even knew what he was going to do.
And she still lost.

The author, Ted Mann, is partisan hack. His writing just drips with disdain for POTUS.
