Frontpage ^ | March 6, 2017 | Daniel Greenfield

There's probably no relief for California taxpayers in what has become a one-party state run on the premise that the more of other people's money you spend, the faster you will achieve cosmic consciousness.

But Trump's Secretary of Transportation has put the brakes on the train wreck to nowhere. And Governor Moonbeam has gone from threatening to launch his own satellites to stop Global Warming to begging for cash.

The policies of Governor Brown and the other Democrats in charge are pushing California towards bankruptcy.

Now the Department of the Treasury is withholding $647 million of taxpayer money from California's train to nowhere.

....if Trump relents...he should issue “installments”...with strict accountability guidelines...if Moonbeam wanders from guidelines the slightest ...no funds for you

The money wouldn’t have gone directly into the train project. I bet it would have gone into general funds, to be replaced later, or at least into activities with a high political reward.

That’s why it’s a problem for CA—they are strapped for cash, since they seem hell-bent on supporting a good portion of Mexico.

ROTFLOL......cosmic consciousness.

I guess that's what Hollywood's warrior/dictator/actor Meryl
Streep was aiming for at her Golden Globes diatribe of Trump.

Moonbeam was counting on a Hillary victory and a brand new no-limit credit card.

It will get worse for California. Without subsidies the solar industry and Tesla will also collapse. Also most of LA and San Francisco will become unlivable. California will have to get back to basics. Now that the rains have come, the agricultural sector will prosper. The dirty little secret is that Silicon Valley is just one technological breakthrough from oblivion. Hollywood will be forced to make movies that people will really want to watch. They might even try the new technologies and reopen a few oil wells. Doubt Trump will give them any money or even step foot in the state.

Moonbeam’s request for federal assistance didn’t begin until Trump was in office even though Obama was President when the damage (and assessment) occurred.

Feds should take over the Oroville Dam, fix it up right, and then sell it to PG&E to operate. Just don’t give any money to the idiot running California. They have proven that they have no idea what they’re doing with it.

Maybe hiring Holder to confront Trump was not such a good idea after all. Fire Holder use his salary to put towards the basics. The I’ll be back ah no I got fired but will back Schwarzenegger found out rather quickly how embedded the rats were into all forms of government at the state level. He had no choice but either quit or capitulate. He turned out to be a wussy after all.

Sell Oro Dam to PG&E? Hell no! Trade it to PG&E for lower
electricity rates, especially for we peons in the rural
areas who pay more for service.

I somehow think that Gov. Inslee of Washington, for all of his blustering about the old and new immigration EO, will be doing the same. It will take him somewhat longer because he isn’t that smart.

Well, that does it. I'm putting the house up for sale today. .

Seriously?! Why would you write such nonsense?

Oh I think they know exactly what they're going to do with it. It's what all politicians do, especially Democrats. Re-divert some of that money into their own pockets. Watch him use it to fund sanctuary cities and come back later to say he needs more money. It's what progressive leftist lying a-holes do.
