I hope you have some, too! So far, we’ve only had 1.6 inches of rain so far this year. That’s not gonna cut it! Last year was a really good year and I was hoping to have another one.
Other than that the weather is kind of pretty. LOL! The cats like it better than the cold. Last night they both wanted to be out. Tonight I have a guest...Ginger. She’s becoming more and more a totally inside kitty. And she hates the wind, and I can sympathize. :)
Did you finally get a little quiet between the crazies?
OUCH! That isn’t much rain at all! We’ve had a little over 8 inches but we could use more to get the water table back where it should be.
Your temps sound reeeeeeeally nice even if it is too early for 80s. Wouldn’t mind some of that here! But that warm in early March could spell trouble later on. Could be a roaster this summer. :-(
Does Ginger duck when the wind blows across her? Ours do. It seems to freak them out that they’re being touched and can’t see what’s touching them.
She does just as she leaves the house to go outside. Then she gets her business done and is pounding on the door to get back in! LOL!
Well, it is very low rain but one year about 4 years ago, we had zero, zip, nada. And I’m not even exaggerating! It was horrible. I don’t EVER want to go through that again. We were using bath and shower water to keep our plants alive. And we went for a drive once, and even the cactus was dying. Really!
8 inches would be such a blessing here! But our territory is so different. We really do live in a desert. I know you need more, though and I hope you get it before and during your growing season!
Good morning, Ms Feather...*hugs*...it’s 8:45p and it is 4 degrees and dropping. Gonna be like this for several days.....beautiful sunny days in the teens and COLD below zero at night.
Hope your Robins are surviving and able to find food as you warm up.
Sounds like our cats. Some won’t go out once they feel strong wind hit their faces. They’ve been out too many times when strong storms hit and I guess wind means storms in their minds. There are plenty of places for them to shelter but they were still outside and not in here with us.
I recall the year y’all didn’t get rain. Y’all were HURTIN’, desert or not.
All we can do is hope for a decent amount throughout the year. We started out great last year, then the spigot turned off during the summer.
It seems like the spigot turned off for a lot of people in the east. A friend of mine in NY lost a lot of her plants and her yard that she’d just reseeded. Very frustrating and depressing.
At least you and I don’t have that much snow. I love to look at it, but it’s a real pain to have to get out in. LOL! I’m so glad my granddaughters seem to love it. They are going to have to. :)
What’s funny is when the cats run out and it has just snowed. They don’t know where to put their feet. LOL!
Good morning, ML...((HUGS)...has your ice receded? Ready for tennis shoes?
Great picture, KC Burke. Thanks for sharing.
Nothing but clear, cold, and blue skies for a week or so.
It’s really nice being inside and looking out at the beautiful blue sky and sunshine.
Yeah, the weather patterns weren’t good at all for us over here. Couldn’t get rain no matter how hard we begged. It was kind of nice not having to mow very often though. LOL!
Apparently there were a lot of grass seeds or what grass we had is well-established. It’s coming up like gangbusters now. Same for the flowers I didn’t bother to water. Hardy stuff!
It’s been nice not having snow this year. It could still happen though.
So the girls are enjoying their winter in the far north? LOL! Good that they like it since they’ve had so much to deal with.
Our cats hate snow. We did have one who loved it and I had a heck of a time getting him to come inside. The rest needed no coaxing.
Good evening, Janey...(HUGS))...enjoy your family time.
Hope the weather is nice.
Well, they like it so far, but who knows how long that will last. I imagine their mom can hardly wait till they can go out to play so she can actually get something accomplished. LOL!
You’re probably right. Momma’s bound to be tired of having them underfoot all the time. Looks like she’s got a bit of a wait. It’s snowing there now. BRRRR, it looks sooooo cold.
Oh, I need to go check it out. It did look like snow clouds last time I watched the cams. Brr is right! ~~~~shiver~~~
I’ll be visiting them when it’s WARM! LOL!
It wasn’t snowing hard when I looked but it was there. The scene just looks so frigid. I wish the thermometer with the cam hadn’t conked out a while back.
Yes, visiting when it’s warm sounds like a GOOD plan. LOL
I wish it hadn’t too. I’m glad it’s not just me who it conked out on. :) It does look cold, and yet people are still out and about. Of course, it’s earlier there.
I watched the Elk Refuge cam this afternoon and saw two males having a face off. It was interesting. Then the food truck came along and they called a truce. :)
Guess I’d better head out for now. Quiz tomorrow night! Oh, the joy! LOL! See ya then!
((HUGS))Good morning, Ladies. Thanks for this morning's thread, Lauren. How's it going?
Shoo, there have been people out and about up there when it was below zero. Stout folks up there! LOL! I don’t know how they do it.
That Elk Refuge cam sounds interesting. Neat that you got to see a couple of them facing off.
Sleep well. Looking forward to tomorrow’s quiz. :-)
