I've been there a lot.

When I was a Boy Scout about 1960 I went and saw these:

Then when my kids were Cub Scouts I took them there and saw almost nothing except the Minuteman rapid response team center. They dispatched out of Whiteman.

Then the big change when Democrat Ike Skelton finally threw his weight around and got the B-2 — then I was there a lot. Most of us contractors didn’t like the business climate much, but we were there a lot.

Over a half-century ago I remember riding in the family car in upper Montgomery County, MD - can't recall exactly where - there was a battery of Nike Hercules positioned a short distance from the road.

I served with the 509th Bomb Wing back in 1975-1976 while it was based in New Hampshire. At that time the Wing was flying the General Dynamix FB-111 Medium Bomber and it was assigned to the Strategic Air Command.

That was the Most Professional Unit I served in during my enlistment in the U.S.Air Force.

A better group of people I have never found.

Man those delta shaped multiple side fins made them look “cool” to my 12 year old mind. Kind of like the 57 Chevy my cousin had.

I can tell this story now. I was building a project in central Missouri during 9/11. When we went into Afghanistan there was a morning early on when I was driving down I-70 just north or the US 50 location of Whiteman — going up out of the dawn mist just after 6 am were two B-2 visible for only a few seconds coming up north and then turning east.

I shouted in my car — go get ‘em boys!

Good evening, Kathy!

*HUGS*

A good day, thanks! The voice is still sketchy.

I had a follow-up with my cardio today - all is well. I had a 24-hour monitor attached last Friday - no abnormalities. Today's EKG was normal. My early morning pulse was 55 - pulse ox 95.

I have a few more Daffodils in bloom - roses have broken leaf and Hemerocallis have broken ground. Mid-50's today - 60's tomorrow.
