Why do we continue to spread fake history? The Hastert-LaHood-Shimkus pro-corruption GOPe had succeeded in chasing anti-corruption Peter Fitzgerald out of the Senate. They did not want a Peter II. During the primary Jack Ryan ran anti-corruption, as did Rauschenberger (my guy), Oberweiss and Cox.
The establishment was split on what to do when an anti-corruption candidate won the primary. Some paid an alleged conservative consultant to spread the truth and even exaggerate Jack Ryans secret. His email went out to many, many thousands of us the weekend before the primary.
After the primary we had a unity rally. All the losing candidates got up and enthusiastically endorsed Jack Ryan. 99% of the audience was clearly with Jack Ryan. Jack got up and again made it very clear he was going to continue the unfinished job of cleaning up the corruption in the IL GOP (Hastert, etal).
I was watching the small group of GOPe power brokers in the corner. The Undecided ones at that moment clearly decided to push Jack Ryan out.

I was watching Bosch, a great LA detective series, and in season 2 the femme fatale was played by Jeri Ryan. I kept looking at her and thinking, if she just did whatever sex kink her husband had wanted, we wouldn’t have had Obama.
