The solution? University officials bypassed Berkeley’s own communications staff and approved spending $419,400 to hire an outside public relations agency “to address media and stakeholder backlash,” newly released documents indicate.

Why not make it up by forcing the rioters to pay that in fines? If there were 5,000 students rioting, levying them each a $30,000 fine (on top of tuition) would make that up right there.

What percent comes from the state? Ideally they need to lose both federal and state funding if they continue to riot and act like they are at war...

Gosh.

Remember when we used to say, “Man up!”?

That meant that you should take responsibility for your actions.

Now it’s hide and blame others.

Hire a PR firm to cover up your stupidity.

Lie, cheat, steal, act cowardly, blow some dope.

I wonder why things are screwed up?

>UC Berkeley gets half of its money from the Fed.

Incorrect. It receives illegal ‘funding’ from the taxpayers.

We really should do better w/ our verbiage here and in our media ‘visits’...

From the "In Search of Excellence" meme, there's a story about the Coleman Products Company putting out a lousy cooler, the handles would fall off or something.

They hold a meeting about what to do, PR to say people are using the cooler wrong, it's a product feature, etc.

Old man Coleman reportedly said to the group to fix the design, and recall the faulty coolers.
