Wise County, Virginia A long-awaited revival is under way in this beleaguered Central Appalachia community where residents see coal as the once and future king.
Trucks are running again. Miners working seven days a week cannot keep up with current demand. Coal mines, long dormant after the industrys collapse, are now buzzing again with antlike activity.
We load coal every day for the power plant in Virginia City, explained Rick, a long-time supervisor for a major local operation who did not want to give his last name. There's one shipment a week for Georgia Power, and one for Tennessee Eastman.
The past month has seen a resurgence of the coal industry that once formed the backbone of the region's economy, and locals credit President Trump's aggressive, pro-energy agenda.

Winning. Trump is keeping his promises.
Did my heart good. MAGA.
JOBS JOBS JOBS.
GROWTH GROWTH GROWTH.
Fight that, leftist sh*ts!
LOVE this!!
Poor souls /S.
Hillary Clinton was on board with Obama’s plan to intentionally destroy the coal industry. Reviving a major American industry is a direct benefit of the election. Will the Dems abandon intentionally destroying coal jobs as part of their platform? Would Never Trumpers be OK with a Clinton presidency that puts the final nail in the coal industry’s coffin?
I live in the heart of coal country and am beginning to see some movement in coal mining after nothing for the last four years. Coal trains who once ran several times a day were running maybe once every two weeks if then, now they are moving again a few times a day.
In an adjacent county a coal company is trying to reopen their operations which would mean around 600 well paying jobs. A real shot in the arm for the local economies. Go Trump!!!
OH, NOES!!! The coal companies will have to hire more miners!!!
0bama killed the demonicRAT Party in WV.

You can't have one without the.... other........
Please Mr. President, do something for Texas and its depressed oil industry. At least give it hope for a better future.

Check out the chart at the link and weep. You have to go back to 1986 to find coal production less than 2015. Obama set the industry back thirty years.
Photo from last night’s speech . . . Joe Manchin “gets” it!
