Jimmy Kimmel brought in the common folk. Wow.
TOPICS: Government; News/Current Events; Your Opinion/Questions
KEYWORDS:
Greg Gutfield and others on Fox's "The Five" made reference to a profound moment during the Oscars last night that deserves widespread notice and criticism. That is the moment Kimmel brought in a number of unsuspecting tourists to the event as a "big surprise" and quickly became proof of all we need to know about Hollywood and the corrupt elitist out-of-touch movie establishment. No, I did not watch the Oscars but saw a film clip of the described episode.

For allegedly being a program saluting the BEST wroters producers directors and actors.....that program should be seen as an insult by all of them. It is an unbelievably BAD program full of liberal idiots of marginal talent (and has been since Bob Hope and Johnny Carson stopped bing MC!)

If you want a stark reminder of how far the “art” of film-making in Hollywood has fallen and how far removed from the people these puffed-up hacks are, wait for a hot Summer night and watch the wonderful classic, “Picnic.”
It was a far better time, with far better talent, and a far more uplifting “message.”

Kimmel told the crew to turn off the lights and instructed the audience members to yell, "Mahershala!" when the lights turned back on. nothing like a little pandering, eh?
