“Get a job young man, and completely ignore your desires, to be a provider to people you don’t know you and pay in to a system that hates you. Maybe you’ll get lucky and you will stay married as a reward.”

Sorry. But these stories relegate men to be a robot to work and provide for other people at the cost of a man’s happiness and life. It’s been a raw deal and after being kicked around by the government, certain conservatives, politicians, the courts, and feminism I welcome this. The carrot is no longer for men to gdt sex. The carrot is now for society (and women) to actually value men. If all i am valued for is an ATM forget that.

BY the way I run a succesful business, employ people, and work average of 60 hours a week. I enjoy it and it is not through a sense of obligation to pay the bills for someone else I work so hard.

I remember one episode where they tried awakening people in suspended animation. One was a big capitalist, and the whole thing was a takeoff on Belamy’s Looking Backward. Not at all plausible. I’d love to see a sixties hippy awaken in 2001, and watch him freak out at how different it was from Belamy’s Utopian vision.
