Indeed, one of the groups Google is supporting, the Equal Justice Initiative, explicitly endorsed Black Lives Matter in one of its videos, calling the group "civil rights demonstrators." That video linked slavery to mass incarceration, lamenting that "many states celebrate the era of slavery with Confederate holidays and by honoring the defenders and architects of slavery, while ignoring the history of enslavement."

I really, really hate google. Sadly they are so intertwined with so many facets of the internet that sometimes you use them and don't even know it. I try to avoid googling anything whenever I can. Startpage and duckduckgo for searches.

Yes, and use a script blocker on Google/Doubleclick/etc—anything owned by Google.

The National Justice Database is an attempt to measure justice so that people who want to do the right thing can use that metric to lay out a GPS for getting where we are trying to go. That’s really what we see Google as being a key partner in helping us do.”

So they don’t want the paid protesters to get lost?

The Corporatists need to turn BLM to their advantage and make it political as opposed to violent.

Violence isn’t good in the end for big business.

Merge them into the Democratic Party like the religious conservative folks have become tools of the GOP Establishment and the fake “Conservative Movement”.

Here is where the money goes?

Looking at the purpose and organizations involved, what do you think will happen to the money?

Hmmm. If you need a road map on how to get to the place where you “do the right thing”, sumfin wrong to begin wit. Just as soon as I saw the word “metric” I went in to a flashback from my days of being employed. An order of psycho babble coming right up. LOL! If they had included “stakeholder” I might not have been able to function the rest of the day. ;-)

Google long ago became a destructive monopoly.
Governments must provide search engines. Private search engines can piggyback on them and therefore require less ad revenue-biased results.

You must have missed the memo. No liberal enterprises will fall under the RICO act guidelines.

Had a friend proclaim “Trump needs to STFU about Chicago and start talking about things that matter”.

I was like “Really? Don’t you care about those poor people?”

“He’s stupid and you know it. There are more important issues he should be talking about” Came the retort.

Now, I had two responses that I automatically qued up. I paused and out one came “Wait a minute. Don’t Black Lives Matter? Those people are being killed to the tune of around 800 a year, with some 4,500 wounded.

Shouldn’t we all be concerned about our fellow Americans?”

“That’s not a national problem” Came a denser response.

“Well, it actually is. It is pretty clear lawlessness, murder and hurting people are a cultural problem, antithetical to the rest of America.

Something needs to be done that the local community isn’t willing to address.

It’s as if they’ve just accept this condition, which has become a cultural norm for the are and that should be unacceptable to all humans” my response.

“WTF is he going to do? Run Chicago and the country? Losing response.

I laughed “Well, the Federal Government already over seas cities like Baltimore and Los Angeles. So there is that capability and if we can reduce the murder, injuries and mayhem that has to be good not only for the people of Chicago in terms of safety but, it should result in a more productive society, beautification of neighbourhoods, a city that has more pride and a more productive society where citizens are proud of their neighborhood, their city and live with less anxiety.

Shouldn’t we at least try to help? “

It turned into a brief blah, blah session before the subject suddenly changed.

Bottom line: yer damned if you do, damned if you don’t and your stupid no matter what.

BTW, I ran into a hilarious, yet sobering site a few months back.

“HeyJackass!
Illustrating Chicago Values”

It demonstrates stats of murders and injures in graphical form that is entertaining yet, sobering.

For instance, there is a “30 Day Stupidity Trend with graphical bars by showing each day this month the number of people shot and graphs those murdered, those injured.

There is even a pie chart attached to it.

There is a “This Weekends Stupidity which at first makes you laugh and then informs”.

Next to that is “The Chicago Shot Clock “ which tells you how many minutes it takes, on average, for someone to be murdered in Chicago and also how many minutes you have to wait for someone to be injured in Chicago.

I give you http://heyjackass.com/ Powered by Sarcasm, Stats & Booze

I will publish a post about this site later.

Check it out.

“That’s not a national problem” Came a denser response.

To which your response could have been, "Neither was Trayvon. Or Michael Brown. Or Ferguson."
