Dear Progressives,
We don't have to settle for Bill Maher.
We don't have to settle for the mainstreaming of white nationalism from the left.
We don't have to accept the garbage Maher told us this week to justify that booking of Alt-Reich champion Milo Yiannopoulos. There is no law that requires a comedic meal to be served with two heaping sides of Islamophobia.
When Bill Maher is at his best, he can be insightful, funny, and even brilliant. In 2017, he is harmful, outdated and dangerous. He has been for many years now.
Just how long can Maher's supporters keep watching? Where does a line get drawn?

Oh, oh, Bill Maher made the mistake of having his eyes open to the threat that Islam poses, that’s an unforgivable offense to the left.
Have you ever talked to one? Tried to engage them in discussion? It is like speaking to a CD or record. The left is totally incapable of hearing anything that contradicts or challenges their world view.
I learned to use semantics from the SDS minions long, long ago. Not even that works on today’s left. They are completely deaf to anything they haven’t had encoded in their brains.
Chuck sounds like a bigger queer than Milo.
The leftists are about thisclose to throwing Christians off the top of buildings.
Hence their like of muzzies.
Bill is permitted to walk off the reservation here and there.
The reason being that the left needs him as a stepping stone to broadcast their propaganda. Maher will every so often criticize the liberals, and usually he will have valid points. That may be his way of maintaining the brittle pretense of ‘neutrality’.
Nobody who knows Maher believes him to be neutral in his politics, but it’s a convenient position to take when he gets accused of being blinded to the crimes and blunders of the left. In short, they would only boycott him by default, if his show became too boring and lost viewers. That would take a New Maher on the stage.
Wow! Just wow! The loony left has truly lost it when Bill Maher isn’t good enough for them. Anyone who isn’t 100% pure from their perspective, is an enemy. Even allowing the opposite side to speak makes one a mortal foe.
And... they call US intolerant!
The website is unreadable with interspersed ads. But it doesn’t matter. This meandering illogical screed causes a head ache in anyone who seriously tries to follow it.
I have, and it's exactly as you wrote. The left generally hates Christians and fears a theocracy, but when it comes to blind faith in an an ideology, few approach the left. Progressivism is literally their religion.

Talking to/with them can serve a valuable purpose, but convincing them is not it. Engaging with them is only valuable when it comes to convincing an onlooker who may be on the fence. Otherwise, mocking them and scaring them for sport is about all that can be accomplished.

The inconsistency here is how the left hates Christianity and loves Islam. There's no logic in that posture.
Especially since Islam is totally intolerant of feminism, homosexuality and free expression in any form.
Look at the good little leftist spouting all his favorite Cultural Marxist catch phrases and slanders. No one should think for one second that freedom of speech will survive a leftist take-over of this country.
