Yes, Obama and the boys seek to replace Gerrymandering with Obamamandering. In other words, "we can't win the local elections so let's label them as rigged and get busy rigging them so we can win."

There would be no Black Caucus to speak of.

Since they are no longer in control of the process, they must end the practice... Democratic Party is a criminal enterprise and must be labeled as such

Now that they can’t set the rules, they want to end the game.

Gerrymandering is only partisan if republicans do it. Whenever I see this subject brought up, I think of Tammy Duckwork (D) and how they cut up the 8th IL district to get her elected. To me, she is the face of gerrymandering.

This will eliminate much of the Black Caucus, and give White Democrats a chance to run in those districts. Funny how the last election has changed their minds about catering to their minorities. Every GOP governor ought to veto these redistricting attempts and make them live with the optics of Maxine Waters and Elijah Cummings being spokesmen for the Democrat Party. If Keith Ellison gets DNC chairman, that should just about finish their chances of survival.

LOL!

The Dems love their current biased boundary lines and don’t want the new conservative majority to redraw them.

The lines should be geometrically and geographically based and NOT demographically based.

The best way to get rid of the problem of political entrenchment that we have is to increase the size of the House by 30% or so each election cyle for the next 10 cycles. The house is way way too small.

Things like this need to be paid attention to closely by the RNC. With the judiciary in his pocket Obama and the left can accomplish anything. Memo to Mitch get those Trump nominees rolling asap.

I find it telling that the democrat party has ceased trying to convince the American People as to the merits of their policies. Instead, the democrat party’s entire focus is on how they can rig the system to ensure their power. They are relying on the administrative state and the judiciary to ram rod their agenda. All the while, they are full in on delegitimizing election results they don’t like and talking impeachment of a President for the high crime and misdemeanor of disagreeing with their sacrosanct agenda,

Now we have this as the latest and greatest trick. They are rising to acknowledge that their losses at the state level were due to: 1) unpopular policies; and 2) an absolute, all out effort to destroy local government by federalizomg everything. Now they are seeking to suppress those at the local level who dared betray the ONE. Trump’s rise, as they see it, started with those local peasants.

In short the democrat party is all in on totalitarianism. (But it is ok to be that way if you scream “fascist” loud enough at your opponents).

I think they consider “Gerrymandering” to be “Allowing only Americans to vote in American elections.”

Like they have a choice in the matter! They’re not making the rules anymore.

This is so ridiculous. If it weren’t for Gerrymandering, they’d win a few local races on either coast and that’s about it.

Its fun explaining to Californians (Angelinos) how their votes no longer matter as liberals have self-gerrymandered themselves into just a couple of states.

Once the illegals get deported... They get pissed because they aren't going to move to Nebraska and they know from day today experience a lot of the people here in L.A. are illegal.

The illegals have got to go - the law is the law, we are in this situation because people don't follow it when children and families of immigrants are involved- sorry Dreamers this what bad parenting looks like.

Lots of citizens have things crappy as well. If the illegals are not deported the riots and voter fraud next election will be nuts and Trump will have been our last hope.

The time for the fight is now (actually probably about two months from now )- once most people have had their fill of the sky is falling and are moving on with their lives.

Deport the illegal immigrants - all of them - this madness needs to stop.

When I first moved to Oregon in 1986, there were 5 congressional districts (still are 5). 3 were safe Democratic seats, 1 was a safe Republican seat and 1 was a tossup (it went back an forth between Republican and Democrat). The Democrat-controlled legislature took care of that by re-drawing three of the seats (2 safe Dem and the 1 tossup) so that all had large parts of Portland in them. Now all 3 are safe Democrat. They did the same thing in Illinois and in Massachusetts, if I remember correctly. Apparently, gerrymandering is only bad if those mean, evil, awful Republicans do it.

Also, back in the late 80s and early 90s, the Federal government was telling states to create majority-minority districts. That has led to a lot of gerrymandering that has put Democrat African Americans into Congress, but created more safe Republican districts.

Bottom line is that the Democrats lost due to their bad policies, so now they want to change the rules to help them get seats back, without changing their bad policies. Reminds me of when I was in high school, there were three factions in the school - the jocks, the "smart" kids and everyone else. The "smart" kids decided they would get their candidate elected as student body president, so they went to the administration and changed the rules. Voting had been done in home room, but now they put some voting booth-like things in the hallway outside the principal's office. You had to go down there to vote-thinking that the jocks would not want to go near the principal's office and the average kids would not care enough to go vote. The "smart" kids still lost.

Of course the reason for their sudden interest in this subject is the real danger of obliteration and banishment to the coasts in 2020. When they had it working in their interests, it was “the will of the people”.
