I think he’s dozed off...I’ll have to tell him in the morning. LOL
We did have a good day and went for a nice meal tonight. I got him a gift card from Amazon...his favorite place to shop.

Saint? I doubt the kittehs would say so. LOL! I yell a lot.
Overall, they’re pretty good kiddos but they do have their moments, like earlier this evening. Not sure what had them so wound up but they were on a tear. They’re all flaked out like road kill now. WHEW!

We have a lib mayor and city council. They want to raise taxes any way they can.
He’s already pulled the “cops or snow plowing?” bit. But he has plenty of money for his pet projects...the arts, building housing for the chronic drunks, etc....but he is good at withholding the essentials, like snow plowing to get folks up in arms and more receptive to more taxes.

Our governor is a RINO but we have an “R” super-majority in our state legislature to help keep him under control somewhat.
Mayors and county commissioners are a mixed bag but the “R”s have become dominant in just the past few years. They’re getting better at cutting funding for things that aren’t necessary and trying not to raise taxes but they’ve also had to cut back on some things because the money isn’t there. One that bothers us is they’ve cut the number of times each year they mow the grass along county roads. We mow along the road in front of the farm but the grass and weeds along the rest of the road get REALLY tall every summer between mows.
The biggest concern about the gas tax hike is whether or not the money will be spent ONLY on highways and bridges. In the past, the money has been spent on BS stuff by Dem governors.
Overall, things are good here. The governor’s budget plan for this year has some good cuts in it. They’ll come up with a balanced budget by the end of the session in April and we’ll just have to see what they do about the gas tax. Then we see what our local gov’t. does from there.
