Then, in 2004, Fitzgerald didn’t run again. Jack Ryan became the nominee and then had to drop out due to a sex scandal. That gave us Senator Obama and, well, you know how it went from there.
if you’re going to tell the story, tell it all. ryan dropped out because of a mysterious leak of sealed court documents related to his divorce from a celebrity — which turns out to be a trade mark of obama toady david axelrod.
tell it all, bother.
Not only is Michel a dead American, but he was a decorated veteran. This thread is despicable
indeed. FR is diminished for tolerating this morally vile thread.
Jack Ryan’s sex scandal? He didn’t have kinky sex with his sex goddess wife.
Jack Ryan’s mistake was in ignoring good advice and following bad advice. Jack Ryan’s weakness, like that of many Republicans is that he lacked cajones, spine, and guts.
In 2002 over two years before the 2004 election I told Jack that rumors were circulating about his personal life. That Jack should heed the advice of the Cajun. If Jack deals with the rumors early Jack can choose the time, a slow news day or busy news day, the vehicle of print, radio or TV, the messenger of entertainment, gossip or political commentator.
But Jack listened to Dan Proft (who is the best conservative strategist in IL, despite this mistake.) Dan apparently told Jack that Jack should not immunize himself because the sealed papers would never be made public.
So a rival allegedly conservative operative, who has told me he doesnt do anything without being paid to do it, was apprently paid by the RNC Treasurer and Rove roommate Kjellander to destroy Jack.
After Jack won the primary, the corruption wing was unsure if they should sabotage Jack or not. They were unsure whether he would really go anti-corruption or if that was just rhetoric to win the primary.
Then, at the Unity event after Jack’s primary rivals (Oberweis, Rauschenberger, etal) enthusiastically endorsed him, Jack spoke for what we now call draining the swamp. He came out totally anti-corruption.
I stood near the king makers on the right side near the front of the banquet hall, eavesdropping. They clearly decided at that moment that they would have to destroy Jack to protect themselves.
