Take a look: Oroville is over it’s “full pool!”

http://cdec.water.ca.gov/cdecapp/resapp/resDetailOrig.action?resid=ORO

One has to wonder why the DWR hasn’t been doing released from Oroville like they have with the other major reservoirs in California.

Example: Here’s what they’ve been doing with Folsom:

You have to wonder just what these a$$holes have for brains.

Based on the graph, they were doing OK with the lake level until the last week or so when it rose very quickly. As if there was enormous runoff coming into the lake. Was it unexpected?

It is like it is deliberate retention that would negatively impact a borderline dam integrity and increase risk to population both in terms of dam break and draught.

“You have to wonder just what these a$$holes have for brains.”

Their so called brains are nothing but bad science connected with Gorebull warming.

Big money down South probably told them not to release that water!

Your graph would show a 6th grader, that they needed to be releasing water like they did at Folsom last year.

Whoa! From your first link, "101% total capacity"

One does not believe that we are getting the full, complete, and truthful story here.

Good wishes and luck to the Orovillians, (and those downstream along the Feather River.)

This happens every time there is a huge rain after a ling drought.

The water management guys don't want to give away a drop of water so they let the dam fill to capacity only to get hit by a monster storm or snow melt that overwhelms the spillways and puts the dam in danger of collapse.

They should have been draining off water for the last 4 weeks instead of hoarding it.

If Oroville collapses, which is a very real possibility, California is gong to be in the world of hurt.
