Mexican military helicopter fires on drug kingpin hideout in one of two raids that left 12 dead

A Mexican military helicopter gunship fired on the alleged hideout of a drug kingpin in one of a pair of raids that left 12 suspects dead, including the cartel capo, Mexican authorities said Friday.

Spectacular footage of the helicopter firing late Thursday on an urban district in the city of Tepic, capital of western Nayarit state, appeared on social media and Mexican television.

The video, apparently shot by a witness, shows the low-flying helicopter, its spotlight occasionally illuminating the area, pouring gunfire toward a target in the city’s Lindavista district.

Shootouts between authorities and heavily armed gangs are relatively common in Mexico, where criminal syndicates wield immense power and influence. But images of a military helicopter pumping rounds into a heavily populated city are unusual.

So I guess the Mexicans figured they'd better start taking care of their own problems so that POTUS wouldn't feel obliged to "help" them.

Exciting but I have the very strong feeling this was for show.

they understood they would be generating headlines and this seems aimed at the American Media.

Appatrantly we’re supposed to think they’re turning things around there.

It was a dark and stormy night. I could not see the markings on the helicopter.

Probably more like Nieto trying to cut loose any ties he has to the cartels.

This is mexico. Nothing gets done there unless you are thoroughly corrupted.

I was blocked by LA Slimes from reading/viewing anything, but I assume their version of a helicopter is a Sopwith Camel converted to rotary wing, possibly shooting paint balls to make any hits look gory.

I agree with previous posters, this is for show, possibly to avoid “Nation Building” in Mexico.

If all our resources spent in wars since Bush were used to turn Mexico around, think how much better off both the Mexican & American peoples would be today.

Yep - Mexico may be seeing the writing on the wall (double entendre by design) and having their one “official threaten to set the cartels loose against Trump may have resulted in some off the record ‘splainin’

The Mexican presidento should identify these targets and let Trump send 130 C gunships and A10’s to mop up these scumbags.

The video below shows what could happen to some of those sites in Mexico. A single gunship takes out a Talibad motor pool. The action really starts at about 4 minutes into the video.

In English: “I guess we got a little loco with our craven and greedy policy of salutary neglect towards our drug and human trafficking cartels, and now los Americanos have had enough. So let’s do this futile and stupid gesture of slamming the barn door shut, even though now los animales are all loose and running amok.”

An old friend sent me this 2 1/2 minute video produced by another trouble-making Trump fan.
I suggest you watch and share it quickly as the Google and FB Thought Police will probably pull it when some libtard reports it!
I added the music track and, yes, I pushed the music track level to drown out obozo’s voice a bit as 8 years was 8 years too long! But you get the thrust of the comments!
Anyone who STILL doesn’t “get” the insanity and hypocrisy of the Left and the Democrats (but I repeat myself) should not be allowed out unattended let alone be allowed to VOTE!

Thanks for the link. Quite impressive, just not what I expected at all.

If it’s not fake, then this is another win, as it never would have been done if they did not fear Trump.

I’d wager as well Trump may have given some spine or push to Mexican political will

The Mexican marines are usually the go to guys there to get it done

Like the Elite Battalions in Colombia

Or BOPE in Brasil
