When was the last time Refugees entered Canada from the US ,War of 1812 or the Civil War ?
Neither. Canada has never received “refugees” from the US. Some draft dodgers and criminals, yes.

Johnny Rebs from Tennessee would go to Canada during the War between the States but they weren’t refugees they were just hanging out having a respite from the fighting ...AKA AWOL...
one area in St Catherines was such a popular place it became known as Tennessee Street to this day...

Canada does not take refugees from the US because the US itself is deemed a safe country for refugees. These people will probably be sent back. At least I hope so.

Yep. And it is an interesting crossing point. US 75 on the Minnesota side of the Red River and I-29 on the North Dakota side. Not the closest crossing to Minneapolis, St. Paul which is in the eastern side of the state, but the best road access.
There was even a skirmish in St. Albans, Vermont by some Confederate raiders who crossed over from Canada. They had to be treated as POWs, as I recall, because they put on the CSA uniforms before launching the raid.

I remember my Grandmother, who was from the South, saying “That is enough to feed Coxey’s army” or “There are enough of them to make up Coxey’s army”, etc. But she died before I could ask her who Coxey was. Her accent or pronunciation might have distorted what I heard.
