An immigration officer is being treated for what officials say are minor injuries after a traffic stop in North Austin on Friday morning.
Austin police Lt. Cara Boyd said the immigration officer pulled a vehicle over around 6 a.m. in the 13600 block of the U.S. 183 southbound service road between Anderson Mill Road and Lake Creek Parkway.
Boyd said the officer was trying to take a person into custody, but family members tried to intervene. It was unclear why the individuals was being arrested, Boyd said.
An Austin police supervisor said family members got out of hand.
Austin police sent four officers out to assist, but no other information was immediately available.
Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services medics were called out to take the agent to a freestanding emergency room for treatment.
An EMS spokesman said the injuries were not life-threatening.
Boyd could not say which agency the officer worked for.
The incident comes hours after activists staged a late-night protest to support a man they say was detained under similar circumstances on Thursday morning.
A spokesman for the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency said she is working to learn more information.
criminal assault..book em deport em
They skip all that stuff on top and see "Fight Back" and this is what happens.
As a result, the illegals are getting scared. Many will begin to deport themselves (saving the USA millions!). Caravans of beat-up, overloaded trucks and cars will be seen headed toward the border.
Unclear? Let's see. Why would ICE be taking someone into custody?
1. Spitting on the sidewalk.
2. Expired tags.
3. Broken taillight.
4. Failure to signal a lane change.
5. In the country illegally.
Funny how Austin seems to be a hotbed of ICE enforcement. Perhaps the feds are sending a message to one of the preeminent sanctuary cities?
BP/ICE beyond the Court-agreed 100 mile cordon from the border.
Hmmmm.
Trump needs to specifically target these sanctuary cities for maximum enforcement of immigration laws and deport everyone they catch in these cities.
If the sanctuary cities realize they are going to be the first on the list for enhanced enforcement, maybe they’ll keep their seditious mouths shut.
Karma is a Big Itch to the Big Itch Sheriff of Travis county.

Our uber liberal Austin media will bury this one with the co-operation of a liberal police hierarchy.
Jubilant Brazilians is good too I guess
The gravy train is over.
I live in this area, North Austin, or North of Austin, Lago Vista Texas.... I couldn’t find this story anywhere on internet, thanks for posting it! I hope nopardons approves. She got so angry the other day when someone had the nerve to mention the new TV series “24”. After two deaths in our family in the past few months, “24” is a welcome diversion for me... If you post something nopardons doesn’t approve of she throws a hissy fit. Like in the movie Gone Girl, just don’t make her angry...
We lived in Rancho Cucamonga California, 2005-07, and when I heard sirens in the middle of the night or early in the morning before sunrise, I knew it was either ICE or drug raid or human sex trafficking raid in our little city, and the next day the list of offenders, offenses, drugs, cash, sex slaves rounded up was always astonishing!
ICE has offices all over the country.
There is one in Richmond VA where I live.
They are the interior enforcement agency.
That sign is Obama’s presidential legacy right there...
Thanks for picking the nit. It was the best picture I could find. If you can find a better one, let me know.
The irony is they always say they aren’t “criminals” but turn around and use justification to not open the doors unless a criminal court judge signs a warrant. In that case, they are indeed criminals
I'm sorry, but you give too much credit to the Left.
They will not shut up. Quite the contrary, they will double-down on their insanity.
They were given a small taste of victory from the Ninth Circus of Clowns and they feel emboldened.
This lawbreaking by cities and states will only stop when their federal funds are taken away and some people in charge are arrested and convicted for breaking federal immigration laws.
Brazilians just do jubilation so well:
