Two whole hours, huh? I’m a US-born Christian citizen, and sometimes it takes longer than that to get through customs in Ft. Lauderdale. Nobody cries for me.

If she was on our Olympic Team she’s a US Citizen. She cannot be denied entry under any existing legal precedent.
Customs is not Immigration. If she was detained at Customs it means they had suspicions about something she brought with her.

So what. Customs job is to screen everyone coming into the US. Occasionally people get destined for a while for further investigation. Grow up you snowflake.
Under the current “racial tab” she is officially white. All mideast people are considered white. So there.
My wife, Vietnamese, was detained at the Canadian-US border for 2-1/2 hours, because they thought she was bringing back fruit from Asia, she wasn’t. Most of the time was wasted because they didn’t have enough customs people for a proper and timely inspection. She was frustrated but understood the problem.
“Several weeks ago.” It was probably during the holiday rush, and everybody was “detained” because the lines were backed up due to the high volume of travelers. Notice, she doesn’t say she was interrogated or pulled aside for special treatment or any other thing that could be independently verified, just that she spent two hours clearing Customs.
Maybe is was because of all those swords she had in her checked baggage?
Yawn.

Thanks for making this corretion. Customs is looking for bananas, drugs and little snakes. Immigration officers check documents.
