I’m certainly not falling for the globalist way of thinking, I’m smarter than what you think I am...I was repeating what people are being fed by the globalist way of thinking!!!

There IS a check and balance on the Judiciary, it is called Impeachment. When a judge-for-life issues a ruling so political, so devoid of law, it is incumbent upon Congress to take the necessary steps to remove that rogue judge from the bench. Unfortunately, the process is so political that it will never come to fruition, though. The only other remedy I see is for the Judiciary itself to send the judge to the equivalent of the make-work room used to park bad teachers who cannot be fired.

That’s how it seems to me. It would create more jobs in the U.S., and if no one was willing to do the hard work required to harvest the crops, farmers would have to pay more for labor. That might further increase the price of produce, but I think many people would be willing to pay more to get better food.

A carbon tax???? Not in this lifetime, I trust. Surely President Trump would never fall for bureaucrats’ promises to cut other environmental taxes to make up for it. “Mounting evidence of climate change,” my foot! Reminds me of the great Ronaldus Magnus falling for the Dems’ promises to cut taxes if he let them legalize all of the illegal aliens in this country in 1986.

The cost of picking a head of lettuce is 3 cents. So if you DOUBLED the pay of pickers then it would be 6 cents. Would you notice a 3 cent price increase?

There are vertical indoor farms now, and more will come online if it becomes profitable from high demand.

I am not an agriculture smart person, but I would not advise eating any produce from other countries. The regulations related to production are lax. The trade policies do not allow for stopping the stuff at the borders and testing it.

In 2010, I started growing my own fruits and vegetables, and buying from farmer’s markets. These can be frozen, dehydrated or canned for winter time use. Even in Missouri, I have successfully grown things like lettuce, spinach, and endive outdoors under row covers. I grow peppers, tomatoes, and lemons indoors in front of south west facing doors.

I recall poisoned pet food from China and contaminated vegetables(?)from Mexico.

Climate change is code for social engineering. Redistribution of resources to protected groups and thereby destroying and undermining middle class citizens.

There are machines that do all that and more. Here’s 5 videos of lettuce, apple, cherry, asparagus and grape pickers. What can be planted by machine, can be picked by machine.

Yes, those are examples. Quality control in some of these countries is very suspect.

In the case of the dog food, for example, IIRC they had figured out a way to fool the tests by adding melamine or something. Within the US, we also sometimes have problems with various things, but they often get caught, and stopped at least for sale here. This is for drugs as well as food.

An example, is aspirin that was produced, contaminated with a virus, stopped here, but sold in other markets. There is evidence that some of the vaccines today have been contaminated with things such as mercury, and covered up.

I expect that is why Trump asked Robert Kennedy Jr. to head up a vaccine commission, and insisted that the drug companies needed to start producing here.

Back in the 50s the polio virus was contaminated for several years. There is some evidence that the children that received it have a slightly higher rate of cancer. I just lucked out. The year after my last dose was the year that the contamination started.

IIRC, during the Clinton Admin. a law was passed to lower the liability of companies producing vaccines, but there was a recent case involving a vaccine and autism that was won-I think that was Florida.

I also avoid GMOs for several reasons. I plant heirlooms and save the seeds to plant the next year.

We do our own organic fruits & vegetables; buy some from
local farmers’ markets. Freeze some. I don’t like the idea
of human poop fertilizer & nastiness in general. No imported
stuff for us.

There is another problem on the Horizon:
The H1B Visa bill is to bring in people from other countries and when all these Corportations bring their companies in and they don’t want to hire Americans First, they want to hire H1B visa people, their excuse:
“The people here in America are not smart enough for these jobs”...and they might be right...look at our young people, are they being taught in college the job market? No, because they are only being taught how to riot and protest and get their feelings hurt...
How is this going to work out???
...
It will take time...supply and demand...that will drive it, as it always does...we hear we won’t be hired so we don’t work towards it...now if it is received as a demand, folks will work towards it. There will be a temporary shortage but this country has smart resourceful people...look how Japan and China copy our stuff.

Did Rush really talk about H-1b on the air? That is one of those taboo subjects his “friends” in Silly Crony Alley don’t want him to talk about.

Exactly. The last straw for me was E-coli spinach. I decided to grow my own organic veggies. No pesticides, GMO, or other problems. Preservation avoiding the added chemicals, and controlling the amount of sodium - just healthier.

Then I started doing some additional research, and found out that the food supply - especially processed foods is worse than I thought.

Glad you took up organic gardening. We’ve been doing it for
several years now. At first, until husband got it together,
produce wasn’t “perfect”. However, gradually as we
persisted, everything improved. (Our neighbors keep honey
bees & I feel sure they help the garden as well as keeping
us in pure raw honey - which helps our allergies.) Husband
once tried beekeeping; but their stings make him swell up
to a dangerous degree.

I consider organic gardening a must for survival and healthy eating. We resurrected the old garden plot in 2008, and started planting lots of berry bushes, fruit trees, and nut trees around the back yard- stuff that won’t have to be planted each year in 2010.

Every year we build an additional garden plot, and try out various edibles to see what grows best, and also to be able to rotate the plantings.

Sounds like our gardening. We don’t go gangbusters on it.
Our varieties sound like the ones you have. Pear trees,
peaches, apples, blackberries, strawberries, blueberries,
tomatoes, okra, squash, green beans. We just harvest & eat
them as they come in season. Corn is one thing we haven’t
had much luck with. The least wind just flattens the stalks.
It varies what we get every year. Helps with the menu. If
I have any extra, I freeze it & try to use it before it
gets freezer burn. (Reminds me. I need to go out and check
the freezer.) We have (or had) a horseradish plant; but
harvesting and grating that stuff up is a bit of a pain.
It is good, though.

My childhood friend contracted polio from a polio vaccine
(it wasn’t as neutralized as it should have been). She
later became an army nurse, then went to work as a nurse in
the same doctor’s office who had given her the contaminated
vaccine. (He didn’t know it was a problem; but asked her
later how she could ever forgive him for it. She told him it
was not his fault.) He was the doctor who delivered me in
1946.

It was a voluntary program when I was a girl, and they lined us up in a line outside the gym. Inside the gym they had several doctors and nurses, and everyone filed in and got the shot, but you had to turn in a permission sheet and it wasn’t required.

After the first time, I pitched a big fit, and Mom decided not to authorize it. I lucked out because that year everyone that got the shot got sick as a dog -throwing up etc. That was also the first year of the cancer-causing contamination.

We didn’t get the MMR back then either. That’s the one that has the current contamination that they think is causing Autism. Several of the contaminating stuff has been shown to be more likely to impact people of African and Latino descent.
