It’s a favorite place to roost so he can see what’s going on outside. Our windows are short, as you can tell, and being up there give him a great view of the back yard...and the pigeons. LOL!

Kittehs like to be “up” any way and looking out windows is a fave past time. It’s a win-win for Peaches and he certainly looks content.

Must not have been any pigeons at the time or he’d have been on point. hee!

You know, I’d like to try that. And I’d like to do initial swim with the SEALS, as I think I could still do that. And I’d like to jump with Airborne troops.

While I still can....

Well, right before he relaxed, he was sitting up with his head under the edge of the curtain. LOL! Sometimes he taps on the blinds to get my attention so I’ll raise them and give him an unencumbered view. *rolling eyes*

Yes, I’m his slave. :)

At least he was kind enough to tap the blinds to get you to raise them. Ours just tear up the blinds so we’ve learned to keep raised about a foot. Our windows are larger and lower than yours and the kiddos sit on the sills to look out.

We’re well-trained too. Sounds nicer than being their slaves. LOL!

The roads seemed really good on the way home, but a couple intersections surprised me with ice still.

And now it is starting to snow....didn’t know it was coming.

EEK! Never good when you run up on some slippery spots. Those aren’t pleasant surprises.

Snow when you aren’t expecting it isn’t a good surprise either. But I guess up there, you can expect the unexpected at any time this time of year.

We could get a few flurries here overnight but mostly, we’re just going to be cold. Wish the wind would stop because when it’s out of the north, it makes the house chilly. brrrrrrr

Many a night we went over to that same ramp at Elmendorf and loaded up paratroopers into our C-130 for a night drop over the DZ. In the winter, as they were jumping, I would think to myself that my flight pay was more than their jump pay and I would be sleeping in my nice warm bed while they were playing soldier out in the freezing night. It was always a good reminder that I made the smarter choice!

Yep, we do...and love doing it! How are your kittens doing? Becoming more friendly and joining in with the rest of the bunch?

Yes, a fabulous light show this evening. I grabbed the camera and umbrella and went outside to enjoy the show. I got several short video clips to go back through to see if there were any decent shots to save and these were from the last clip.

This bolt doesn't look like much but it turned night into day as it zapped the woods along the side of Hubby's cousin's farm next door ....

This is the same bolt a split second later before it fizzled out ....

A few seconds later the streak went across the sky overhead and it was time to skedaddle! LOL

The kittens are doing great and starting to play with the others a little. They still get a little nervous because the others are quite a bit larger than they are.

Lessa is a lot more relaxed, too, and we’re happy about that. She was pretty uptight at first.

Well, can’t really blame her. Her whole life was changed and she had kittens to protect from possible enemies. I’m glad she’s learning to trust!

Can’t blame her a bit! We were afraid it would take longer for her to relax.

She’s turning into a Daddy’s girl, much to Hubby’s delight. Most of the cats really don’t have much to do with him because guess who feeds them and takes care of them when they’re sick. LOL! But she sleeps in his lap every time he naps in the recliner and that’s where she is now.

Awww....that’s just sweet! I wonder if she also slept in his cousin’s lap...likes men.... :)

She never went into the house when she was next door. Plus his cousin didn’t really like her. Maybe she was closer to the guy where she lived before she was dumped. I dunno.

As long as she’s happy now, that’s what counts.
