Steve Forbes: GOP could lose the House if they botch this Steve Forbes: GOP could lose the House if they botch this 11 Hours Ago | 02:52 President Donald Trump and House Republicans need to get their promised pro-growth agenda moving, two-time GOP presidential candidate Steve Forbes told CNBC on Wednesday.

"If they botch this thing on taxes," Republicans could lose control of the House in the 2018 midterm elections, Forbes warned, putting Trump in the tough spot of having to work with Democrats who have not been shy at showing their disdain for the president.

"I think [Trump] realizes if this economy doesn't grow, his presidency is finished, would be seen as a failure," the chairman and editor-in-chief of Forbes Media said on "Squawk Box." "That's why I think he needs to move fast on the tax cuts, get things moving."

Forbes said Trump has gone after the low hanging fruit of bracing companies to move manufacturing back to the U.S. and signing executive orders to get the ball rolling on reversing Obama administration regulations in energy and banking.

This is what happens when George Soros OWNS Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnel.

When George Soros tells Ryan and McConnell to jump they say how hi?

Both Ryan and McConnell need to be recalled immediately if they are this compromised.

Federal officers — senators and congressmen — cannot be recalled. This has been litigated both in federal court (Idaho, 1967) and state court (New Jersey, 2013).

If McConnell and Ryan botch Trumps plans, then Trump will not let them get away with it. He will torch them and call them out. They will be held responsible.

Lets not get hysterical.

Trump hasn't even been in office a month and the sky is falling.

Somebody tell crazy eyes that the GOP districts are safe due to gerrymandering and their odds of losing the House in 2018 are akin to winning the Powerball Lottery.

This is why 10- and 30-yr bonds have been rallying like buts for a week. The market believes the GOPe morons won’t get through tax cuts and will oppose Trump’s infrastructure plans.

They can be investigated and if necessary arrested if they’re working for George Soros.

He’s right. They also need to repeal/replace Obamacare at roughly the same time so they can get an accurate picture of the end state. They need to get the tax cuts right.

State Court of NJ does not trump the State Courtsof Wisconsin or Kentucky.

You can always shop a Federal Judge to rule in your favor.

True, Reagan didn’t get tax cuts passed until August of 1981.

“Trump hasn’t even been in office a month and the sky is falling.”

People on our side of the aisle aren’t that much more emotionally brighter than the left.

People here have congressmen and senators. They need to get off their duff and start contacting them.

Anyone after 2 weeks making this much of a racket are idiots. If the Democrats could take longer to get Obamacare, then our side can try to act like they aren’t some form of autistic to expect everything in 14 days.

The 1967 federal ruling in Idaho concerning the attempted recall of Sen. Frank Church case has been cited as precedent in all state cases concerning attempted recall of federal officeholders. This is now established case law.

COPIED/PASTED from WIKI:

On January 7, 2010, Forbes announced his endorsement of Rand Paul, Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

On January 28, 2010, he formally endorsed Marco Rubio, Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate in the State of Florida.

He endorsed incumbent U.S. Senator John McCain, Republican of the State of Arizona for re-election in 2010.

On July 28, 2010, he formally endorsed Peter Schiff, Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate in the State of Connecticut.

On August 13, 2010, he announced his endorsement of Jim Huffman, Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate in the State of Oregon.

On August 26, 2010, Forbes formally endorsed Mariannette Miller-Meeks, Republican candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives in the 2nd Congressional District of Iowa.

On September 2, 2010, Forbes formally endorsed State Representative Justin Amash, Republican candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives in Michigan’s 3rd congressional district.

In October 12, 2010, Forbes formally endorsed Bill Hudak, Republican candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives in Massachusetts’s 6th congressional district.

In 2011, Forbes endorsed Texas Governor Rick Perry for President in 2012.

This twice failed Presidential Candidate has the audacity to ‘warn’ Republicans? HA! Hilarious!

"Lets not get hysterical. Trump hasn't even been in office a month and the sky is falling."

Exactly!!!

I think our side at times needs a collective Xanax. Can you imagine if DJT did not take MI, OH, PA and WI and what type of beer we'd be crying in commiserating over illary's Cabinet picks and her replacement for Scalia?

I shutter the thought...

Indeed. For $h!t’s sake, the courts and Senate won’t even let the routine crap, including cabinet nominees go forward.

What’s that got to do with it? He needs his executive branch officers in place so he can start cutting the bureaucracy’s budgets and workforce to offset tax cuts. And he needs his own justice department to fend off the onslaught of frivolous lawsuits. Finally, he can’t afford to send critical cases to a 4-4 SCOTUS.

Believe me, this guy is working hard, putting in enough hours to put most of us into comas. He will live up to his promises.

Dangit, don’t become like one of the press, who, when the president accomplishes one task pipes up to shriek, “Yeah, but what about . . .?”

When I argue with libs in the fam and even weak-kneed friends who support Trump but start to flag, I always say . . .

For God’s sake, give him a hundred days before you go to pieces. He’ll have more done in 100 days than Obama accomplished in eight years.

Sheesh, fortheDeclaration, I’m with you.

Relax,

Steve was part of DT's economic advisory team during the campaign. Along with Larry Kudlow.

This message from Steve, and his forum, is directed at Paul Ryan. Directly to Paul Ryan.

A clear warning shot that he needs to get off the pot and advance HIS OWN tax plan. The one he created with Congressman Brady of Texas.

Tell Forbes that you are not going to get your tax reform unless our immigration laws are enforced and enforcement is fully funded, Obama care is repealed and wasteful spending is cut. If you can't help us on that then screw your tax cuts. And while we are at it maybe we should demand that yo people put some money in conservative publishing instead of just letting the rich libs do it.
