Senate Republicans silenced Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren for criticizing colleague and Attorney General-nominee Jeff Sessions with the words of Coretta Scott King from three decades ago challenging his record on race.

Warren, whose name has been prominent in speculation about the 2020 presidential race, was given a rare Senate rebuke Tuesday night for impugning a fellow senator and she was barred from saying anything more on the Senate floor about Sessions, R-Ala.

The late-night dust-up quickly spawned the hashtag #LetLizSpeak that was trending on Twitter early Wednesday.

The Senate has been working around the clock since Monday as Democrats challenge President Donald Trump’s nominees, although the party lacks the votes to derail the picks. …

Democrats complain about Fauxahontas being silenced.

Character assassination isn’t free speech and the MA Senator knew the rule before she tried to smear Sen. Sessions.

The people who complain loudest about divisiveness and disrespect are the ones perpetrating it.

When will the libtards realize that the media is giving them a fake view of America?

After elections in 2018?

Lololol

Well, as attributed to Marx, they are accusing others of doing what they themselves freely do.

She isn’t ‘silenced.’ She’s free to speak anywhere she wants except on the Senate floor in session on this matter, period.

Good old AP, spinning yet again.

They know full well that she violated a Senate rule.

They know full well that she was repeatedly warned.

Yet, they make her out to be a victim.

If it comes from AP, it is an outright lie. So now I have to question: Did ANY of this really happen?

Why isn’t the headline: Senator Warren Reprimanded for Breaking Senate Rules Following Multiple Warnings?

Per Senator Liar-watha’s Facebook page:

“During the debate on whether to make Jeff Sessions the next Attorney General, I tried to read a letter from Coretta Scott King on the floor of the Senate. The letter, from 30 years ago, urged the Senate to reject the nomination of Jeff Sessions to a federal judgeship. The Republicans took away my right to read this letter on the floor - so I’m right outside, reading it now.”

She read the letter on her Facebook account.

Warren wasn’t censored - but Democrats who think playing the race card will win them votes will end up being disappointed.

Its been played so often its lost its shock value.

All they have left is to accuse Republicans of racism and bigotry.

Unlike in 1986, Sessions will be confirmed tonight as AG.

It would be if the AP were not a “collective” (their own word) of hard-left journalists.

One and the same.

The view is for the useful idiots to act upon.

If not for the bias from the hate filled fake news organizations, the tile would more accurately be: Warren intentionally breaks senate rules, GOP forced to reprimand her.

She knew full well what she was doing, but didn’t think she would get called down for it...

She has lied many times about her own life, part indian, flipping houses for money she failed to report, and other things...

She needs to be voted out of office and if she thinks she’s going to run for President in 2020, we don’t forget and she won’t make it anymore than Hillary did...

She’s the poster child of a ‘Nasty Woman’.

I’m pretty sure that I’m not the only woman that can see that.

There a lot of ‘nasty women’ out there right now...but I don’t have the time to name them all...and I agree with you...

Yahoo is running a story of how this is making Liz the Megaphone of the Democrat party. I have never seen any party whine and bitch and moan so much about losing an election. Its embarrassing. People in other countries that I know and love have asked me what is really going on? I tell them that Trump has brought out the worst in people, because they are very immature and arrogant. And now they are all stomping their feet and pouting like little children. Silencing Liz is something that should have been done years ago. She is just a hater
