Okay, they are wrong.
That sort of IT slip — if it were to happen — would simply be passed off as “testing some new software” and would be quickly ignored.
They’ve done that several times after the election results were released before an election was held. Oops!
They keep using that word, “scholars”.
I don’t think it means what they think it means.
And given the state of many of our law schools, “legal scholar” stands a good chance of being an oxymoron.
um... what scholars? The 9th C is the most overturned fed appeals court by quite a margin. Of course, liberals think of themselves as mainstream, and that anyone to the right of them politically are latent or patent Nazis.
Ed
There’s a bill in congress introduced 01/04/2017 that would create the 12th Circuit court comprised of Alaska, Arizona, Idaho, Montana and Nevada. The 9th circuit would be California, Hawaii, Washington, Guam and the Northern Mariana islands. It is H.R. 250, titled as the Judicial Administration and Improvement Act of 2016.
I suppose we’ll have to come up with a new nickname.
I mean....now that America no longer has a circus.
Liberal scholars don’t think the 9th circuit is too liberal? Who would imagine that?
It is from ABC news, not worth reading.
No. It’s the is well earned. The most overturned court in the land.
Keep in mind that judges HATE overturning lower court judges. They’ll try to find some way to salvage the lower court’s ruling if they can do so plausibly.
They’ll try to get some rulings right. Judges don’t like being overturned all the time. It’s insulting.
With this one, they have an off ramp. They never have to rule on the merits. They can toss it out on a plaintiffs lack of standing.
All that you need to know about this article and and "scholars" that vomited out this nonsense.
Will it help anything?
You’ll still have the California court capable of causing as much mischief as ever.
Now you’ll have one more court.
The immediate effect will be that it will take away a great deal of the 9th circuit court’s power. True, they still will cause trouble, but to a lesser degree and it pulls away some red states out of their jurisdiction. I think overall it will be a good thing provided the right judges are appointed.
