If something goes boom it is better to have it do so a Stansted than Heathrow. Don’t want Heathrow shut down for days, now do we?

You don't want to disrupt your major international airport and hub (best known for inadequate facilities) Third busiest airport in the world (passenger count). Tie up one of its two runways, and you disrupt schedules world wide. And they don't really have adequate remote parking.
While Stanstead only has one runway, it does appear to have some remote parking. It is a hub for Ryanair. Southend would seem to make the most sense of the metro London commercial airports.
How much $’s/money do the Muslim countriesl pay the international and American media to lie about when Muslims do things like this.

Trump spoke about Obama giving him a dire warning of an entity that was not China or Russia or Iran. Trump wouldn’t say, but speculators first said N. Korea but one news consultant said no, Pakistan.
It's standard procedure to divert to Stansted when there's this kind of incident. There's a remote corner of the airfield set aside for the purpose, and all the airport services are specially trained to deal with it.
