“Water cannons work well.”
Water cannons spur more protests and they become more violent. Skipping through the water is one of their pastimes. I have hands-on, personal experience with water cannons.....on the receiving end! We merrily skipped through the water and dared the firemen to keep doing it. When they saw that we made it become a game, they stopped the water cannons. ;-)
Machine guns and/or tanks stop all further, future protests.
