Except for cleaning some stuff on a high room-length shelf this morning and having to climb a ladder to do so, yes, I did! LOL!

It was a good day! Seems that they nearly all are good days any more. :)

LOL! I jumped in a panic when I realized we were already there. Slipped right up in a hurry.

After Katrina a friend (who I babysat when our families were stationed in Ankara, Turkey) became the new commander.....he thanked my parents, brother and I for being there during his address to the troops.......I asked him who he pissed off getting that assignment after Keesler was almost destroyed and he laughed and said he got notice of the assignment a couple of days before Katrina hit......I’m an AF brat of 21 years so I love any story about the AF and AF bases....

Good that you did! I was totally not paying attention this time. Going through the list of nests to see if there is any action besides birds snoozing. LOL! 🦅🦉

Glad it was a good day in spite of the climbing. Sounds like you’ve settled into this retirement thing quickly.

I don’t bother with the nests at night though that’ll end soon. Owl babies in the near future to enjoy.
Plus the European nests will have activity when storks start arriving from migration next month. I enjoy the eagles and owls but the storks are my love.

Nah, it’s a little 2-step ladder that has a high back on it that I can lean into for stability. I watch my footing vewwy, vewwy carefully! LOL!
